NHL 21 Pro 6min period sliders

The NHL game this year is the best one I have played over the years imo. Nuetral zone play better than the past but still a lot of work to improve it.

GAME SETTINGS:

Period Length- 6 minutes
Difficulty- PRO

Camera- Dynamic medium
Line Changes- Auto
Shot Aim- Assist
Controls- Hybrid setting...DO NOT overlook this. If you feel the game is too easy try this.

My TWO kinda sorta "house rules" are:

Do not touch team strategies. Leave everything on default. I assume most probably do not touch this.

Very, like extremely rarely pass the puck from the goalie. Allow the game to give you more faceoffs. More opportunities for the AI to score and put SOG. If you have your faceoff difficulty set to a good spot then the pressure of more faceoffs in your zone makes the game more immersive.

**Fighting- 0...I actually will leave this at zero. IF during a game I feel there is a lot of hitting I will mid game turn it up to 1. I am especially more aware in rivalry games. I prefer zero cause it's silly to have fights every single game. Adjusting mid game like I am I like doing a lot. I haven't had a game yet where I felt I needed to move it up to 2/2 but maybe in a playoff game 7 against a rivalry would be a good spot if it gets physical.**

**Trapezoid Rule- OFF I am enjoying the even faster pace with this off. Also getting rid of the annoying penalty every now and then that was completely out of your control.**

Try it for a few games. It's not going to be for everyone. Definitely looks weird sometimes but the faster pace I like so I look past it. Same with fighting slider.

Faceoff Difficulty- user pref...depends how good you are. I try to find setting that gives around 50/50 on faceoffs. 48 difficulty is for me. I'm not very good at faceoffs. I usually try only one move every time lol

Fight Difficulty- User pref...same as with faceoffs. Just find the setting that gives you close to 50/50. For me that is 54.

I chose to play with the weaker Devils here. Holy cow was I dominated! They scored at will on their power plays. The one goal I got I had to work very hard for, for checking my way to a nice goal. Their goalie was very good though. And I don't think Crawford is that good of a goalie anyway.

Without the power play goals this was a closer game. Great game again. One thing I need to do for myself is lower faceoff difficulty. I never have been good at them and always lower it. This game showed me I need to lower it this year as well. Any tips would be appreciated lol20210102_124426_HDR.jpeg

Updated! These are PRO difficulty. Can not change thread title. After trying AS there is no way I can have fun on that. Pro is the best gameplay and not even close.

Fantasy draft season with the Sabres. Matthews, Kessel, and Marchessault are my top line. Varlamov is my #1 goalie.

Tweaking skating sliders a tad more. The AI needs more of a boost on acceleration for sure and maybe speed over the user on PRO level imo.

This game is awesome and plays fantastic!
