Hitting view perspective

I was looking back at older baseball titles and found this perspective from 2k1 on the dreamcast. The monster feels very big and you feel as if you’re enclosed in a grand ball park. Anyone else feel this perspective give you a more realistic “you’re actually there feel? I’ll compare to the showIMG_4128.jpgIMG_4128.jpgIMG_4129.jpg

That’s the view of a cyclops if you ask me.
The fisheye view is a bit too wide for me. The Show 16 camera is the best of both worlds for me, a good view of the pitcher and still a good wide view of the field.l and outfield walls.

I’m referring to the distance between you and the wall or the perspective of you and the wall, not the cursor, when you at Fenway the wall feel like it’s right on you. In the show it looks a mile away while batting

Lastactionhero is right. It's all about FOV and I agree with him that the FOV in the pic you posted from The Show is too wide and the one from that other game is too narrow.

That Dreamcast 2k1 game looks like you're playing in your fenced-in backyard

you can tweak the custom batting cam even more to get that close up feel of the monster,
not to the same point of Sega but a LOT more than the Show shot of Fenway in the OP
