Has there been any word on if Madden 22 PC will have the next gen updates?

I’m ready to upgrade, and the Franchise Editor is insanely useful even without full mods. I really hope Madden 22 gets the next gen graphics and engine updates.

Has there been any news on this at all? Any evidence that suggests it might be the case?

    Thanks to any who reply.

Probably won’t know this until closer to release tbh.

Surely to god, PC will get the PS5/XSX version though.

Maybe then we can get 60fps during all the cutscenes and replays. The 30fps hurts my eyes!
If they go this route I just hope they make the controller rumble work again. After playing Madden 21 on PS5 and then going back to PC with an Xbox controller it feels very.....detached now. I know rumble isn't super critical to some but it helps you feel like you are part of the game a little and once you get it used to it, things feel very plain when it's gone.

Madden on PC is a mess, are you guys able to get gameplay without stuttering? I have vsync +gsync, I moved down to 1080p and get a constant 120FPS but its so stuttery.. No other game I have is like that (NBA 2k,Battlefront,, Battlefield, PES 2020,forza)

Need more info. To be clear, Madden 21 runs great for me. The only issue I am aware of is that it may help to lock your framerate to 60fps in the madden graphics menu. i don't think this is the same as vsync. If you allowed it have an unlocked framerate it was all "herky-jerky" last year even though it was reporting a high frame rate. It's worth a try. Good Luck.

Edit: Saw you resolved it in the other thread. I'd still like to hear what your rig is and what video card is driving your 200hz monitor and at what resolution. Thanks!

Hopefully by EA play they let us know. I'm guessing it'll be a virtual event.

Yeah, this will probably determine if I renew my EA Play Pro this year or not. It's far less useful now that EA Play is part of Game Pass, but I enjoy some of the Pro benefits.

Yeah I've got a 2080ti +i9900k, the monitor can go up to 200hz, but I have it set to 120hz +12bit color, I switch back and forth with my 120hz TV, so I'm just doing 1080p for both at 120fps.. 4k gets about 100-110fps. Once I made the change in nvidia control panel, switching low latency mode to "ultra", it fixed all my issues!

My PC is beastly, but I hook it up to a decently sized tv. Your post is making me want to upgrade that.

So, your monitor sounds amazing, but I wonder if they make them TV sized. Never even looked.

Lately someone told there’s a slight lag when using a tv instead of a monitor. I do wonder...

I have an old Vizio 1080p M651d passive 3d TV that I overclocked to 120hz input via CRU and also an edited EDID (both work fine; I posted about it on Blur Busters forum) and it's response time compared to my old Acer 120hz monitor was pretty much identical, almost instantaneous. I have an Onn 70" 4K tv now and it's stuck at 60hz input and the lag is very much noticeable compared to 120hz input, but I would say it's no more noticeable than a regular 60hz monitor. TV lag used to very much be a thing but ever since LG added a gaming mode setting to its TV lineup back around 2012, most other makers added it as well and input lag isn't anywhere near as much of an issue for TV's as it used to be. In my experience TV's that can do 1080 @ 120hz almost always have no noticeable lag, as long as they're at 120hz and set on a game mode or at the very least have motion interpolation turned off.

Just don't expect lightning fast 144hz gaming monitor response when playing CS:GO from your couch and you won't be disappointed. Even Doom from the couch on PC with a rock solid 60fps (or faster with vsync off) is better than playing on console with moments of frame rates dropping below 60 fps sporadically.

I even play Madden 20 on a projector at 2560x1080 with an overclock at 96hz and lag is absolutely not an issue at all. Used to play on dual side-by-side projectors (via a DualHead2Go displayport) at 3840x1080 at like 88hz as well and it was also amazing with very little lag issues (despite the external EDID hack/unit passing through video signals). It was just too damn hard to see the farthest ends of the screen when it's over 16 feet wide and you're only 12 feet away.

I actually get a little of that now with my regular TV, playing from where you'd normally sit at a computer desk.

But thanks for the info. I could just upgrade my tv instead of getting a smaller monitor.
