3ND (2K21) Toronto Raptors
After the wonderful journey of 3ND with Wizards on 2k20, I am finally lucky enough to be back in that great online league. 2k20 Wizards campaign in 3ND was one of the very best online gaming experience i ever had so I am very excited. This time i will be managing the Toronto Raptors.
I was lucky enough to live and work in Toronto for 3 years, best period of my adult time, so hopefully i can make something for that team. By the way playing the only non US franchise for aone of the two non American player in the league is pretty cool.
As usual we need to be realistic, I am quite new and not very talented for 2k, it is competitive league with talented users... but we will bring our best to continue our progress and learning curve and have fun with that great game.
3ND online league setup
3ND is a mature league which has been running for a few years. It uses its own roster with some creative changes to make the game a better experience: badges are redduced, attributes reworked, and hot/cold zone removed.
The sliders are as well homemade, similar to draft classes and player progressions.
It plays in 12mn quarter and a customised 47 games which i believe provides a closer experience to real NBA with realistic series of games versus division opponents.
The schedule rules are to play a max of 47 games with 3 games vs Division, 2 games vs Conference (Non-divisional), 1 game vs Interconference (East vs West).
So overall i am very excited with 3ND setup for 2k21.
Raptors at the start of 2k21 campaign
I think we have a pretty good situation in Toronto.
First the coaching staff is very good, we are set with good scout and trainers.
Second, we own all our 1st round draft picks, which for a noob likely tobe a sheep in the jungle is always good.
Last the salary cap situation is pretty good since all our long term and expensive comittments are on players we really like.
Roster
Roster wise the team strength look to be on shooting with some interesting ball handlers.
I love
VanvLeet versatility and if i can improve my dribbling skills i think he can be a very interesting player.
Siakam has been the face of the franchise for a couple of years. He looks good in the post and an impressive ball handler for his size and position.
Anunoby looks like a very complete player. Athletic, amazing at the rim, decent shooter, very good defender. He looks like the perfect two ways forward to play at #3 and, sometimes, could jump to #4.
Rest of the team is mostly serviceable.
Baynes and
Boucher will share playing time at Center until a better option arise.
Norman Powell is likely projected as a starter and has a 11M player option for 2022.
Lowry will be a very valuable player who can play both guards spot. He is on contract year and may get traded if an opportunity surface.
So now time to get through the playbook and try to figure out a way to make the best of that group.
