1 or 2 per season, before they added the injury slider ('06? '07?)

Injuries are randomly coded. Just a matter of which number comes up.

Madden 2007 PS2 - there is an injury slider, I will usually bump it up to 102% (2 clicks). Simming through a season, some years there will be no career enders, and others there will be 3-4 career ending injuries.

Ken Dorsey (want to say madden 05) severe concussion ended his career.

Joey Galloway the same injury. Happened on a punt return. My brother punted and Joey returned it. Called for a fair catch. My brother ignored it and laid a hit stick. Ending his career.

Slightly off topic, but I saw one on PS1 Madden 2002. Lamar Smith of the Miami Dolphins. Thought maybe it was paying him back for his drunk driving crash some years before.

I have an Xbox Classic with a flashed Hard Drive and Madden 02-09 plus NCAA 04 & 08. I am going through each Madden one by one. In Madden 02, I simulated 5 seasons of Franchise mode to see how the game dealt with simulation stats, drafting, player development and so forth. Sadly, in year 2 or 3 Legendary Center Jeff Saturday suffered a career ending injury. I think I saw others, but Jeff stood out.

I will report on Madden 03-09 in time if you care... but the answer is officially yes. I think you can see a screen shot I took in the dynasty area.

Yes. I remember distinctly having a 1st round pick WR getting a broken neck in his 1st career game. And it was career ending.

CPU teams stole your successful plays in your playbook and added them to their playbooks. That feature met with college playbooks from incoming college coaches and user created plays birthed a new meta evolution for playcallers across the NFL.
