Hitting Tips/So Many Flyballs

Is anyone else seeing a crazy number of flyballs, or am I just incredibly bad at hitting?

I've tried both directional and zone hitting but can't seem to get a decent hit with either. I'm down to Rookie+ on dynamic difficulty, but still can't hit the ball further than 150-200 yards, even with good contact. I get close to double digit fly outs every single game.

Should I tweak some sliders? If not, how can I improve?

If you are hitting a lot of fly balls on zone hitting, hold your PCI slightly up during the pre pitch sequence, you'll barrell the ball up much more

If you're hitting the ball 150 - 200 yards: that would mean you're hitting the ball 450 - 600 ft and should be giving US tips!

Re: Hitting Tips/So Many Flyballs

Its normal to see a lot of flyouts. Even if you're timing is perfect or near perfect every time, you'll still see a lot of flyouts.

As for advice for getting better at hitting, it's hard to know what to say specifically without knowing your set up or being able to see you actually play the game. But I would say the best thing you can do generally is just keep playing the game and practicing. You will inevitably improve.

Try a contact swing.

i, too, have been playing pop-up simulator for the past couple of games. I'm finding hitting so far to be less rewarding even with good PCI placement. It has me considering going from "simulation" to "competitive".

Re: Hitting Tips/So Many Flyballs

Still struggling with this. Just finished a game in which I had 12 hits and lost 2-0, with every good contact blooping up into the outfield for an easy out.

I've tried keeping the PCI higher in the zone which has helped a little but my guys still barely come close to reaching the wall, much less hitting the ball over it.

Hitting just feels so underpowered this year, at least in Simulation mode Franchise.

Anyone else finding this?
