THIS HAS RETURNED TO MLB THE SHOW 21 - GLITCH FACE PLAYERS - When you play online

This issue was on MLB 19, 20, 21, 22 and now has returned on 23. I spent most of last year posting images, videos and talked with DEVS behind the scenes on twitter, but still no fix for this.


Any player that has a non scan face when playing online get this GLITCH FACE and it is getting very annoying. No matter if your player is


* Caucasian
* African American
* Latino
* Japan


If they do not have a SCAN face they will get the glitch face with the wrong skin tone.

This happened to me as well. I was going to edit my All-Time MLB rosters for this game. But I Looked at some the Giants players and I saw this exact glitch. And I checked the Seattle Mariners to see if they had this player face and turn's out Felix Hernandez has this face issue. It Sucks because now my roster has real players with generic faces.

My Theory is that this happens with players who are retired in real life.

Yes. The scan they use is a dev (same face), can’t remember his name. Doesn’t matter which roster you use either.

For about 5 years now this glitch face is still on the game in all online modes.


To the entire SDS team, I hate to keep asking I don't know how to get this looked at any other way, so if u could please take the time and consider looking at it yourself and have ANYBODY to at least acknowledge it and see the glaring issue we have dealt with last 4 years that just keeps getting ignored. I love baseball and this game and important to me to be able to run and play a online league as realistic as possible and give myself and my loyal owners a fun place to play without shenanigans of other online areas.

All I'm asking is can you or somebody there please look into it?

If they are going to keep doing this .. at least make it an editable face so that we can change it to what WE want. Not some locked , can't touch dude. You have like 4 or 5 , maybe more guys on the team that all look the same. STUPID!!!

Last season was when I really noticed this.. I do not know why I didn't notice it before .. I've been playing this game since '06.

Anyways .. last season noticing this, esp with my Cardinals Franchise .. after the real regular season was over .. Pujols and Molina was changed to this Generic Face. My franchise season WAS NOT OVER and I had to play with them on the team looking like this. I released them and made them retire early [emoji23]
I couldn't have them on the team, not looking like themselves. [emoji23]

Sergio Romo retired so he has that glitched face. I replicated him but ROMO isn’t in the name data base (?) so I used Roman.

These glitch faces appear online constantly because of no scan. You offline guys are lucky because at least u can edit or they stay how creator made them but us online guys can't edit nothing.

I’m not sure that’s the case though. They show up offline as well (I play both DD and Franchise). Last year it happened to a bunch of guys with scans and I only found out about it because I was playing the Marlins and Jazz Chisholm looked absolutely nothing like himself. I’m fully aware of the players who were once a scan last year in December a patched caused a dozen or more lose there scan to get the glitch face.
