I guess adding a Rocky skin to a Tekken/street fighter game didn't take as much time as they thought it would.

YES....had to. HUGE rocky franchise fan. have all of the previous rocky games too (rocky and rocky legends). here is my review: it's arcadey for sure, but it's not trying to be a simulation by any means. the gameplay is great. reminiscent of ready to rumble. no create-a-fighter bummed me out though. there is strategy involved even though it's an arcade game and some competitive matches are to be had in this game. even on rookie setting. the venues (no new york arena) aren't true to all of the movies, but good enough though. no spider rico or mason dixon. rocky does have the rocky balboa movie trunks too, so dixon was a curious omission. even with the video game simulation in rocky balboa movie too. would've been a nice touch to have him in. the rocky songs are IN. eye of the tiger, rocky's theme, etc. no music from IV or any other themes. leans heavily on creed music, but that's to be expected, i guess. also, no apollo trunks for rocky too, which is very weird and also no red/white trim apollo rocky II trunks for apollo. rocky is missing his black/gold trim trunks as well. other than my nitpicks, it's a very enjoyable arcade boxing game and it really needs online gameplay.

thanks for that - I just can't stand that the fighter on the left is orthodox and on the right southpaw - huge bummer for me. R2R was arcade but had decent boxing elements like the way you'd sway and throw hooks - anyway maybe on a discount IF it comes well in advance of ESBC - otherwise I can't pay full price especially when I'm not looking for a new game right now anyway.

allbthere.....yeah, forgot about that part. if they would've kept it R2R and just slapped the rocky/creed license on to it, that would have been fine with me. with no online play, limited game modes and no create-a-fighter, it's probably worth about $20-$30 dollars, similar to rbi baseball. and the story modes are a bit of a reach too....lol.
