Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
So its been determined the logic in franchise mode is that the AI goes fully padded practices every team, every week in franchise mode. This results in players on AI teams disappearing by week 13. So until a patch comes out to help balance the AI practices which hopefully scales back the progressive fatiguing of players I turned the feature off. Now I'm seeing a bigger problem where the entire league has become unbalanced with over powered players. Does anyone have a solution for this? No fights just looking for a real solution.Because I can!Tags: None -

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
Turning off progressive fatigue may create XP imbalances. If you go this route you’ll want to look into adjusting/lowering XP sliders.
For offline, the other option is to take control of all 32 teams and manage their weekly prep each week. That can be a hassle. Plus, there are several offline franchise bugs with stats; game stats and sim stats, that need to be patched ASAP.
Another offline franchise option that I have not tested would be to take control of all 32 coaches week 1 or 2 and go thru each and set their weekly prep to something other than full contact/pads and some hybrid positional rotations. If these setting stick after you retire a coach, in theory you would need to only do this once per year, per team assuming they stick like formation subs. But as mentioned I have not actually tried this.Comment

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
How much would you consider turning XP sliders down? Like just a little bit? Or down to 25 or so?Comment

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
This seems to be a major issue to fix.
The AI doesn't manage it properly and has star players miss full games.
It doesn't seem to work properly for human players. I had a HB miss the whole 2nd half of a game. I switched my training for HBs to focus on the backups.
Players still miss games though when the training fatigue shows as green. The interface doesn't seem to show their status correctly.
If there is cumulative fatigue over the course of the season, we can't actually see it.
Fatigued players shouldn't be a binary in/out. They should play but already be fatigued.Comment

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
Dude….no offense but that is completely false. The fatigue slider controls in-game fatigue rates and has nothing to do with practice fatigue rates. The intensity and week to week progression of practice intensity is what drives the practice fatigue levels which carry into the game....then the fatigue slider controls how much slower or faster they fatigue in the actual game.

Check your individual players health in the team roster screen and it will show their fatigue level with a % not just a green bar on the practice screen.

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
Isn't that a question of auto subs whatever the standard setting is?
In the past it never really played a role, but now players start lower and reach the limit early and never get subbed in again. If you really want to play them, you can just set it lower. Probably the smart way would be to keep them fresh though, injuries are a big risk otherwise.Comment

60 out and 80 in is the default.
Later in the season guys can drop to below 80 and never get back to 80 due to progressive fatigue.
I am inclined to continue to wait for a patch....since I am waiting for the scouting update I have plenty of time for EA to potentially work this out with the CPU logic as well as taking a look at the feature as whole.
It is an awesome new feature and I really want to take full advantage of it for my entire franchise league. So it is a wait and see for me. Game has been out officially for 4 days. I am patient. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
If I were to change Auto Subs, will that apply to CPU teams also? Maybe I have to make the change on the front end / main menu settings? I have never messed with those settings but sounds intriguing!Comment

Re: Progressive Fatigue AI Logic
Hopefully they could adjust the auto-subs to be %s. That way it subs guys out at 80% of whatever their total fatigue available is, instead of at 80/100 when they only have 81/100 available.Comment
