Pursuit angles in madden 22 are terrible.

I play against Lamar jackson and after the patch the qb contain diagram is fix, however even after i qb contain, and its time for the DE to pursue the qb, the Lamar jacksons of the world are able run down and up to avoid the DE everytime. Even combining a qb contain with a spy MLB, the MLB will attack and over pursue Lamar and Lamar is able to run 25 yards downfield. In addition to that if i push the right stick in (R3), guys that come down to pursue Lamar on the run (who has now broken the LOS), are missing tackles because their angles are bad and they are too agressive on the over pursuit. THIS MUST BE FIXED!

This has been an issue for years. Watch the AI players run after kickoffs/punts or on deep passes that are picked off. They run in a straight line from where they are.

Yes i do not understand why this has never been improved because the way defenders attack/ pursuit the ball carrier is often very frustrating.

Raising the speed threshold will aid with pursuit angles if you're looking for something to tune for help.

Wanna know what else is messed up? When you run with your RB the edge rushers shed them blocks faster than they do in contain and the QB has the ball.

I think the AI not being aware of this is a critical fault of the game this why this type of gameplay is rampant online with lacking thst type of pressure and the angle of pursuit once they do go after the QB.

Hall I even have linemen that were clearly being blocked and ran passed making tackles from behind and this is with Mostert at full sprint

While it's not perfect, it's MUCH better than M21 was.

AI pursuit wise ?

I did not notice any kind of improvement on this, it looks the same as it was before (neither better or worse).

Example here below.
I really hope one day they fix these kind of things but does not seem to be on the table for M22.

Is this on defaults? While there are times where I scratch my head, I have seen DB's and S's who seem to cut over towards the runner better than M21 where they ran parallel to the runner until he was close to the end zone.
