Perhaps a potential move to distance themselves from any future negative correlations to FIFA. You don't just decide to rename one of the biggest video game franchises without some serious consideration.

Yeah I think that’s it right here.

Honestly, I think if you say “FIFA” to anyone 45 and under they’ll probably think the video game before the corrupt organization

And I'm sure those of us ~35 and older will continue to call it FIFA for the rest of our lives, no matter what they change it too.

I have never bought e-football but i still call it pes. EA Sports World Football 2023 is going to always be fifa to me.
