So I'm playing coach mode. Due to my neverending extreme hatred of Matt Nagy, I want to get rid of him after the season. Can I retire then pick/create a new coach or can that only be done as owner?

Yes sir you can retire him, and create a new coach for the Bears. You can also do this during the season if you wanted to.
