Steam Deck

Now that we're getting close (hopefully) to the first batch of Steam Deck units being shipped, I thought it might be good to start a thread for this. Who else is excited for the release? What games are people looking forward to playing on the go?

For me, most of my gaming is handheld (just easier to get my gaming in that way), and has been that way for over a decade. I went from my trusty PSP to my Vita, which is still my primary gaming platform. I am looking forward to the Steam Deck for both sports gaming (Madden 21/22 [assuming they run on it], Axis Football 21, Legend Bowl, Super Blood Hockey, Tape to Tape Hockey and Super Mega Baseball 3) and non-sports gaming (Cities: Skylines, Teardown [if it runs on it], Wreckfest, GTA 4 and 5, Door Kickers and Flashing Lights). It will be great to play more of my Steam games!

I'm getting one & am looking forward to Warframe & a bunch of other games I'm hoping I'll be able to test out Star Wars the old republic especially with there new expansion that comes next month..

Hopefully Madden & a few other psn games I play too....

Yeah, I saw that thread, but that is for computer gaming in general. Just thought we should have a thread devoted to the Steam Deck. When it eventually comes out, there may be issues with using it, at least with some games.

For those interested, Steam has now set up a link so you can see which games in your Steam Library are verified, playable or unsupported for Steam Deck.

I've been following this site for over two weeks now, and its amazing how many games will be playable at launch. Can't wait to get my hands on mine.

I don't understand this? I've ordered July 18th the same day those with new steam accounts could reserve a copy

I would think I should be pretty high in line & should receive my order link today but according to this i won't.. & that isn't fair I highly doubt so many people ordered that 1st weekend that I would be far down list..

Yeah, I feel your pain. Don't forget that so many people preordered immediately that it shut the site down (I was a few days later, so I doubt I will be in the first batch).

I am still excited for the Steam Deck, but my excitement is a bit tempered by my library compatibility (I have 22 games in my Steam library; three games are listed as "playable" and 19 are "unknown"), and the fact that The Show did not come to PC, as I expected it would.
