Pitch Confidence

Does having confidence off make every pitcher pitch the same no matter if he's a Ace or the #5?

With it on, I notice that the pitcher plays more to confidence then ratings. Example, pitcher could be having a lights out outing, but as soon as his confidence is full, he has a bad inning no matter his energy, inning or who it is.
Which makes his confidence go down. Just the same, it will go down to a certain point and then the pitcher starts throwing better. Not in a single game mind you. He could end his last outing with confidence up and even have a next outing up. Im going by confidence meter movent more then a single game. Just an observation I noticed. I just don't know if I want to turn it off just yet and see if any difference.

Franchise SIM is dead. Find your favorite iterations and play it forever. Card games are whats "now" and games will cater in that direction and forget realism.

Just have fun and play :)

My understanding is that turning confidence "off" just turns off the display, not the mechanic.

Yeah, that's the way I've always understood it.

If you're observing that a pitcher's performance is heavily influenced by their confidence level and you're interested in exploring a different gameplay experience, you could try turning off the confidence mechanic and see how it affects the overall gameplay. This may result in pitchers performing more consistently based on their ratings rather than being heavily influenced by their confidence level.

Correct me if I’m wrong but you can’t do this. You can turn off if you can see a pitchers confidence or not, but you’re not actually turning it off.

Re: Pitch Confidence

I guess one way to test it is use Meter pitching with the confidence off. When they have high confidence, the timing window will get thicker. If the confidence off, if it actually does turn the mechanic off, that timing window should never get thicker.

Throwing a throw has many similarities with the throw of a person who starts a trump card.

Re: Pitch Confidence

Pitch Confidence influences gameplay; with it on, performance can fluctuate based on confidence levels, impacting pitcher success. Turning it off may offer more consistent performance based on player ratings.
