Here’s how to fix volume and no reverb.

Thought I’d share what I did to make SOTS a lot better. You need 2 programs. Gold wave and mp3gain.

Drag and drop the tracks into gold wave then one by one go to effects>reverb and then adjust reverb time slider to 5 and hit ok.then save in a folder. Then do the next track.

Once you’ve added reverb to each track open mp3gain and click add folder then choose the folder you saved all the tracks in. Change desired decibel level to 100 and then apply gain.

That’s it. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes once you know what your doing.

Two words of caution. 1. Don’t raise the volume or add reverb to any of the sounds that that are broadcast type sounds like fox sports pregame. Those when set to broadcast in team audio are loud enough and don’t require reverb.
2. Is save the files after you add the fix separately from the originals so that if Sony fixes SOTS you can go back to using the originals.

I did a little search while I was for your answer. I can’t seem to find a goldwave option for Mac. Is there a program similar for Mac?

There was a solution in the 2018 starter pack thread for making SOTS better. On page 12. I thought it made it substantially better.

The only problem is the broadcast music is super loud when doing it that way and the reverb is still a problem. It’s a quick and easy way that makes SOTS at least serviceable.

This method is some work but it effectively fixes the issues and really makes SOTS the way it was last year.

I’m doing this in baby steps. I do the next few teams on the schedule in my franchise. That way I don’t waste my time doing all of them and SDS fixes it a week or two down the road. I’m just not going to wait and if I do these things I can enjoy the SOTS the way they were intended

When assigning audio to your teams, are you guys assigning broadcast effect to your pregame song (ex: MLB on FOX, Root Sports) and stadium effects to the rest?

Another question, after going through the mp3gain and goldwave, do you still want the reverb to be on in your audio settings?
