Black Mountain Games Completes “Putt Nutz™”

San Diego, Calif. – July 11, 2005 – Black Mountain Games, a company specializing in family-style video games, announced today the completion of principle production on their first project. Putt Nutz, the only miniature golf game for current generation consoles, is a fast paced, over-the-top title that brings all the fun of miniature golf into your living room. This original game takes full advantage of the graphical power of modern consoles with hand painted backgrounds and fully animated 3D environments. Black Mountain Games is currently looking for a Publisher to bring Putt Nutz to market.

“We are now focused on aligning with a publisher in order to have the game available for the holiday season,” said Suzanne Brooks, President and CEO of Black Mountain Games. “Putt Nutz reaches out to a large and diverse market which includes fans of miniature golf, gamers who love console-style sports titles and those who are looking for a great title to play on game night.”

Black Mountain Games has a completely unique Family Sports title based on America’s love of putting which has propelled Miniature Golf into a billion dollar a year industry. This original single and multi-player game features a family of characters, collectables, unlockable content and unique levels loaded with interactive elements. The completed and fully playable title includes 72 holes each having their own art style, including a mysterious island, a fiery volcano, an underwater kelp forest with sea turtles and even a course were the player is only four inches tall. In case people feel like playing more than golf when they get together, the title has eight mini games to keep the party alive.

“Our vision was to create a fast-paced, console-style Miniature Golf game that was simple enough for children to pick up and play, yet had depth and replay value that would appeal to teenagers and adults.” said David Brooks, the lead programmer on Putt Nutz. “We created levels which really come alive with moving obstacles, intricate pathways and puzzles to ensure that players can always discover something new as they play through a course.”
