Terrific review, Kevin. I love SMB 4 and love the amount of legends they have in the game. It's nice seeing a blend of all time greats and players who were "very good". As a White Sox fan, I was very pleased with the amount of Sox available in the game including Paul Konerko, Mark Buehrle, Harold Baines and Dick Allen.

I definitely agree that the customization could be better and also very much wish there was an instant replay mode. This would allow to capture some cool slow mo videos and take some great photos too.

Other than that, real fun game.
    NBA: Chicago Bulls

    NFL: Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons

MLB: Chicago White Sox (pray for me)

College: Northwestern, UIC, Notre Dame, Alabama, College of DuPage

Football (Soccer): Chicago Fire and Liverpool

My impression from the trial I played: it's not really an improvement from SMB3. And the customization actually got worse. Before I could just create custom teams independent of a league, and then as I create leagues add the teams I wanted. Now you can't do that. It's really annoying. This game is 100% getting EA'd. Rather than making worthwhile gameplay/customization updates, you get things like former players added (which for me in a game like this is a 100% worthless addition).

Yeah, I don’t get that impression at all. The gameplay is pretty much the same, but career has been upgraded a ton.

On the plus side, SMB3 still exists, so you can still make all the uniforms you want in a game you enjoy more.
