I see this is coming out Nov11 on ps4.
What can I expect with this game? Is it as realistic as Full ace tennis for the PC?
More specific. Are there actually unforced errors? or is it the same as every other console tennis game which is ralleys to no end?

Just search for the xbox version reviews on youtube should give you a good idea of what to expect.

after a week playing this game on ps4, it is by far the most realistic tennis game ever on a console.

OSers really need to give this game a chance. It's out for PS4/PS5 for 30 dollars.

I just bought tiebreak 5 days ago, and I thought it was the best thing sliced bread and was better than Top Spin 4. I downloaded a bunch of legends and edited sliders and the game was playing great for the most part.

Then I bought TE4 a couple days ago and really learned the mechanics.

I tried Tiebreak again, 5 mins I kid you not, I COMPLETELY lost interest in tiebreak. The depth on Tennis Elbow 4 is just on another level.

It is probably the most sim game in sports I have ever played and amazing fun. I thought the old pro evo soccer games were sim, this TE4 is pretty much lifelike.

Not only that, the surfaces are represented realistically, the high bounces on clay, and the ball skids on grass. I can go on and on.


BUY THIS GAME.

Second this! I tried the demo for Top Spin and then Tennis Elbow 4 back-to-back. Top Spin is "pretty" but I really did not enjoy it. Tennis Elbow 4 I got the hang of immediately, could see improvement in my game the more I played, and could feel the difference when taking on better opponents. Highly recommended.

I just bought this for XBox and installed the XRT and scoreboards mod. I tried playing without the tutorial and was terrible. So I did the tutorial and this is by far the best tennis game out there on console. Definitely a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it, no other game offers the pure tennis that this game does and the depth with the mods.

I like TopSpin and the fact it’s back, but this is definitely a better pure tennis game.

I downloaded TE4 onto my PS5. I am an older guy. Have horrible joystick skills. Is there a way to make it so the player runs to the correct spot to hit the next shot but I control what type of shot? In other words, auto positioning. My guess is no but figured I'd ask...

with Auto-Pos on Fast (the default setting), you can reach at least 70% of the opponent's balls when he's on the Club-10 difficulty level without moving the player by yourself.


Just press a strike button and your player will go in the correct position.


So if you can manage to push him a bit left or right before pressing a button, you should be able to reach many balls.

I bought Top Spin 2k25 first last summer but was a bit disappointed because of the lack of depth, so then I bought Tiebreak because they were adding sliders. Although I did like it better than Top Spin, I wanted a game close to real life but even with sliders, I couldn't get over that the CPU would never hit an error into the net.

So I finally gave Tennis Elbow 4 a chance this week since it's now on PS5. This is by far the best tennis simulation I've ever played. The controls are hard to get used to at first but man, once you get it down, it really does feel like real tennis. The way you have to move your player and then hit is just like real life. The toughest thing is just getting out of the lazy habit that the other tennis games ingrained in me where I can just press a button to hit an inside out shot. Now I have to literally move my player to that forehand side but it makes it more rewarding. And the best thing is I don't have to hit a 30 ball rally to win every point, the CPU or myself make errors quick enough to have many points end early. Sure that won't attract the casual but for hardcore tennis fans, this feels just right.

I also was pleasantly surprised that the mods are possible on the console and it was super easy to download. I can't thank the dev enough for keeping this game going for so long and bringing it to consoles! Sure it does lack some on the graphics side but this is exactly what I've been looking for out of a tennis game. It might even be the best sports video game I've played as far as simulation goes. Glad I gave this one a shot.

its by far the best tennis game ever on a console.
i play on ps4 so the graphics on the high level make the game choppy, but other than that the game is perfect.

just needs injuries for career mode, the close call challenges,
and I would love a simulate option where you can sim ahead in matches up until certain sets. for those that dont have much time to play the full sets.

You can play in 1 set : just click the number of set icon before a match. You'll have to change it for each type of tournament, both for normal rounds & final.


Alternatively, you can set your player to CPU, fast forward one or more sets, exit the match, put your player back to Human, and continue your match.
