Best kind of lob shot ?

What is the best type of shots for lobs ? Obviously the slice lob is used alot since you can do it fast when you're out of position but lately I noticed more players drop back a bit when they expect it and smash it cross court for a winner.

I tried the flat lob but the trajectory is too low and the topspin lob is even worse.

The one that lands in the opponent's half of the court in such a way that it doesn't get hit back.
