I'm interested to see how or where this goes with the giant streaming service. It's not like these companies are merging. They are just agreeing to work together. I'm just curious how the power struggle works out and if there are to be any public growing pains through it all.

WWE Raw to remain on USA Network until the Netflix deal begins in January, now confirmed.

Figured so. Though December could be a duller month than usual with them saving the big stuff until that January 6th Raw with the Netflix debut.

Probably December 30th is another "best of" show which isn't so bad, but maybe they do make the December 23rd show a "season finale" kind of thing? Not like their partnership with USA is over after Raw leaves, so they'd probably want to end Raw on USA on a high note.

Only 3 months, but I believe this is only time Raw and SD would be on the same network with SD moving to USA in October.

Some more news.

SD goes to USA starting September 13th.

Usually when they change networks it's in October.

SD20 happened on the debut on FOX.

Now SD25 I imagine happens on USA? 25th anniversary of it being a tv show is August 26th so 2 weeks after for SD25 isn't so bad.

As expected, HHH reveals they won't be censored on Netflix.

Everyone's expecting some sort of R Rated show when in reality I just think it'll be the same show with no tv limitations. The main thing this will change is not having to censor fan chants if people chant things the tv network might not like.

Your show can flow better because you're not producing the show around fixed tv segments where segment 1 is X minutes then a 3.5 min ad break then segment 2 and so on. No hard out either so the main event or final segment of the show can just go on until it's done.

Ari and Shapiro were speaking on the move to Netflix and sounds like that wasn't even the original plan (plans changed!)

The original plan was just them shopping NXT around and possibly making that the Netflix show, but obviously interest grew from Netflix and they got Raw instead (along with international rights to all shows elsewhere which includes NXT).

Re: WWE 2024 TV Deals?

Some big news for Netflix/Peacock.

Seems like with Raw moving to Netflix, the entire Raw library will be moving over there too.

NXTs entire library moves to the CW app.

Smackdown, PLEs and other stuff remain on Peacock.

I never knew WWE could just move Raw off Peacock. I understand current Raws since the Netflix deal impacts that, but Peacock paying all this money for the WWE Network and losing all old Raw episodes before their deal is even up, I wonder if that was a loophole WWE found in it.

Internationally still no word yet on anything, but I'm guessing every country's version of the network just gets shifted to Netflix. Would suck if Netflix doesn't have the network on demand stuff on it. Although I'll miss not having a network tv channel/on demand service that let you skip to different events within shows. The Canadian version was easily the best of any country including US with Peacock.

Re: WWE 2024 TV Deals?

Follow up on all this, sounds like CW is only keeping the CW episodes on their library. But Peacock won't have old NXT episodes anymore.

Doesn't make sense to me that it worked out that way. Reminds me of Heat where the network has the USA episodes but aren't allowed showing the MTV versions of Heat, but you can't see the MTV version anywhere either.

I hope when things move to Netflix outside the US that everything does move over. As good as a deal as things are for WWE business wise, trying to make your fan base become a multiple streaming service subscriber to watch the entire WWE library I don't see going well.
