It's too bad ONLY the finals will be happening at this event. At the very least they should've done semi finals too.

The actual bracket is a good one though. So many big names in this tournament, really makes you care for it.

The fact we have Drew vs Balor and Gunther vs Sheamus as 1st round matches is all you need to know about the Raw side.

Gunther vs McIntyre with Gunther making it to the finals is my hope for the men's side on Raw.

Lyra vs Asuka a 1st round women's match? I'm going with Lyra vs Ivy for the Women's side on Raw.


Overall winner my early pick is Gunther for the men's and Tiffany for the Women's.

Mcintyres out of the tournament due to injury.

So much for McIntyre vs Balor. Guess Balor will be winning that match now and facing Kofi or Mysterio in round 2.

If Raws side was gonna be Gunther vs someone else, I wonder how they'll do it now. We've seen Kofi feud with Imperium for long enough, or do they have Rey make the Raw finals just to face Gunther?

Drew McIntyre has been pulled from the King of the Ring Tournament and is not medically cleared to compete. No word on who will face Balor on RAW tonight... but the irony of Drew getting injured when Punk is about to be cleared to return is funny. Really hope he doesn't miss Clash at The Castle, if he is supposed to win the WHC there and get his big moment but that gets taken away due to injury... it will suck.

If anything I hope this is just a precaution. Knowing McIntyre is gonna be at Clash, just give him some time for the next month to heal up. That PPV will be bigger than if WM36 was infront of fans, or if he beat Reigns at the first Clash. Winning the world title infront of his own fans in Scotland would be THE moment in his career.

I do wonder how close Punk is to returning. I don't see much need for him back in the ring until after Clash anyways. Does he try interrupting McIntyres moment at Clash (this time instead of Drew celebrating and Punk going after him, McIntyre pretends to pull the same thing but instead just attacks Punk?)

Uso vs Dragunov in 2nd round I'd love seeing.

Dragunov wins that and we see Dragunov vs Gunther Raw finals?

Between that and something like Tiffany vs Lyra would really be great way for HHH to book this and really show off the next wave of talent on the main roster (and Gunther who is already well established, but this would probably cement him in the main event scene for good)

Per SD GM Nick Aldis, Bobby Lashley is not medically cleared to compete and has been pulled from the tournament. Angelo Dawkins will take his place.

Lashley and Zelina were 2 of the 3 people on The Bump this week talking about the tournament among other things. In less than a 4 day span they've both been declared injured and out of the tournaments.

Raw - Iyo vs Lyra seems like the clear women's final on that half of the bracket. Gunther's an obvious win over Kofi. I'm going to say they'll want to establish Dragunov by him beating Jey and then losing to Gunther.

Smackdown side - none of the potential men's matchups interest me so I'll take the safe pick of them doing Orton vs Tonga in the next round. Women's I say they'll go with Tiffany vs Jade.

I'll guess the finals at the PPV are Gunther vs Orton and Iyo vs Jade.

Looks like they're saving Dragunov vs Gunther for another time. Or do we see Dragunov join Gunther? They had a staredown backstage, but then it seemed like a different look when Gunther came out at the end of Raw and walked by him when he went to confront Jey.

Gunther vs Jey on Raw side. I feel like the winner might spoil the SD side a bit, same with the women's.

If Gunther wins, I see Orton or LA Knight winning on SDs side.

If Jey wins, it has to be vs Tonga.

I'd rather Gunther win this whole thing, but Jey vs Tonga in the finals has the obvious story interest in it, and Tonga should win if those two meet up.

As for the Women's side, if Iyo wins on Raw, it'd be Jade or Bianca, but if Lyra wins, it's Nia or Tiffany. Vince isn't booking things so I don't see Nia beating Jade AND Bianca. Even Tiffany I don't think we'll see her win vs both. Jade vs Bianca would be the more intriguing SD finals, Jade probably winning the whole thing.
