Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 3/1/25

They gave us the WrestleMania 17 Moment of Austin/McMahon not at WrestleMania, but the Elimination Chamber. Hollywood Rock & Hollywood Cena...... Cody needs to recruit Bad Bunny to take care of Travis Scott.

This makes those $1000 tickets... absolutely worth it. WrestleMania 41 and the entire WWE was flipped upside down. I think we are going to be in for a wild ride all the way to December.

Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 3/1/25

I don't agree with turning Cena. Maybe because I was seeing the chase for 17 through the rest of the year and people getting behind his chase until the last PLE.
The shock of it is awesome in the moment no doubt but it feels very much like when they ended Undertaker's streak and not in a that was a cool swerve but more of a what the Vince?

I thought for sure Punk was going to win when Cena went for the handshake the second time. Isn't he supposed to finally main event, with Paul Heyman owing him a favour?

But, this is why I absolutely love WWE. I don't want to have everything figured out, I want to be shocked and surprised. I trust that Wrestlemania is going to be unbelievable with Cena,Rhodes and the Rock involved.

Saw this coming as did others and honestly I don't buy Cena as a heel. Looked off, he didn't look the part. Tough buy in for me!

When R-Truth finally figures it out he's going to be so hurt

Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 3/1/25

Just got to watch it.

Wish my casual wrestling fan friend didn't DM me on Instagram out of nowhere while I was on my flight spoiling the whole thing.

Eh. Whatever I guess. I don't give a **** about John Cena and especially so if he's a part timer who has already announced his remaining shelf life. None of this means anything to me in the long term of the running show. Cena isn't a heel. People are gonna cheer or boo him anyway. But hey, I'm not the target audience. All about the cash. This is the biggest money match possible. I just hope they have the story that Cena hasn't won in forever, needs all the help ever to win #17, teaming up with his Hollywood brethren to run over the company, etc.

Should have been Drew, Seth or Punk. Drew would have been an amazing story if they said hey Cody you wouldn't take the offer but I will. We both came at the same time, left at the same time, you came back and got everything handed to you while I've been getting screwed for 2 years now and I'll do anything, even if that means turning to the Rock to get it done. That would launch him into the actual ratified air stratosphere. Seth or Punk would have been great obviously from match or story standpoint but I hope Roman gets involved there too.

Meh. Wrestlemania will be Wrestlemania but I gotta say if be furious if I paid several thousands of dollars for tix and my options are Gunther/Jey and Cody/Cena for the main events.

Women's chamber was great but why the **** didn't Bianca sell Liv's 3 big moves at the end there? I also still think there's more to tell on the Naomi story. Shouldn't Bianca be busy with that? Hella credit to Liv there. She was amazing. They all were.

Not sure why the **** Sami and KO didn't do that at Wrestlemania. Dumb. Orton came back which is amazing but that could happen AFTER WM match just the same.

Re: WWE Elimination Chamber 3/1/25

(Another "I'm NOW watching it" post)

Jade taking out Naomi! So does Bianca know it was Naomi or is she just as surprised?

I don't like the sci fi sound effects they have for the chamber countdown. I liked the old music with the buzzer at the end and spotlights on the pods. Especially in Toronto, why not tie in the Jays HR horn with the countdown hitting 0?

Rhea vs Bianca? Does this really mean Bianca isn't part of the Jade/Naomi story? Would seem weird to see those two go at it and then Bianca is just all the way on Raw?

Women's tag match was what you expected. Match was all just for Trish, with Tiffany getting the spotlight too.

The celeb part was funny because Drake was at the show and they ignored him.

I loved the lighting for the KO/Zayn match. That's how matches should be more like, not the full arena lights like we often see. KO kills Zayn and Orton returns!

Someone tell Cole there's 2 venues in Toronto. He's been to both this week, yet kept combining all Toronto history into one venue (saying Scottie Barnes plays there, and Evolution turned on Orton in that stadium).

Cody dropping our first F Bomb!

The only part of this show I got spoiled for me was Cena turning heel (probably the worst thing to have spoiled, but I heard the reactions in the building and caved in/checked out the stream to see what in the show people were reacting to). That moment alone will be the big story of this show!

Cena and Rock on the same page? Cena as the corporate champ? No secret Cena tried turning heel 15 years ago (had gear and I think even music ready but Vince rejected Cenas request), but this is exactly what it should have been like, Cena going corporate.

But I also wonder if this is a true heel turn/aligning with Rock or a "I'm desperate to win #17 so I'll do anything for it" which leads to Cena revealing he just used/played Rock to get what he wants?

Also...poor R-Truth.

The show up to the last 15 minutes I'd say was an 8/10 show, the final segment though was the highlight. I hate not going even if it was partially out of my hands, not kicking myself for the first 3 hours and 15 minutes of the show not attending, though that final segment alone might have been worth the price of admission.

But the thing is, isn't Cena already corporate? He's hated by people who hate him because he was and remains shoved down our throats. He's literally Vince's man. Can't get more corporate than Cena anyway.

That's the point. He's always been the corporate guy, but he'd never embraced it before (which is also what Charlotte needs to be).

Now he's embracing it and taking advantage of it.
