**Official Wrestlemania 22 Discussion Thread**

So far WrestleMania 22 is looking ok this year. Nothing really stands out and I think if it was Angle vs. Mysterio, than WM22 would be much better off than the Triple Threat. I read somewhere that Angle was pissed and he wanted to wrestle Mysterio only. I hope that we get one tag match in here this year unlike last year.


**World Champion Kurt Angle vs. Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio


At WrestleMania 22, the World Heavyweight Championship will be decided in a Triple Threat Match; however, as it stands, only two of the participants are known.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Triple-H


Since prior to the Royal Rumble, Triple H has targeted WrestleMania 22 in Chicago as the time and place for the “King of Kings” to regain his throne. To get there, the 10-time world champion had to battle through the Road to WrestleMania Tournament, last dispatching of Rob Van Dam and Big Show in the Triple Threat finals.

**Money in the Bank 2 Ladder Match: Shelton Benjamin vs. RVD vs. Ric Flair vs. ???? vs. ???? vs. ?????


Last year at WrestleMania 21, Edge defeated five other RAW Superstars to win the first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match, earning a contract to face the WWE Champion anytime in the next year. This year, Money in the Bank returns to WrestleMania, and another Superstar will walk out of Chicago on April 2 with a guaranteed championship opportunity.

**Shawn Michaels vs. Vince McMahon


Since the night after Christmas, Mr. McMahon has made it his mission to make Shawn Michaels’ life a living hell. At WrestleMania 22, HBK will get a chance to get some retribution when he meets the WWE Chairman one on one.

Looks pretty good to me...Im sure Trish will have a match and I have a feeling MNM has a match someway in the Show...I think Carlito, MAsters and Chavo get throw into the Money in the Bank match

im guessing they'll throw in a tag match for Kane/Show....either against Masters/Carlito or MNM.


Its possible that 3 more guys will be added to the money in the bank match, but it will be Smackdown guys. Lawler said last night that 3 raw guys will be in the match.....why not just say 3 guys? Either the King hinted at something or im looking into it too much.

Booker T/Boogeyman looks like it will be announced soon.


Anyone else think Flair will lose his spot in the money in the bank match? Possibly a rematch w/Carlito on an upcoming RAW? Flair always gives it his all but seeing him in a ladder match w/Shelton and RVD seems unlikely

The Intercontinental title is yet again left out of Wrestlemania this year? When was the last time we had a meaningful feud for the intercontinental title at wrestlemania? Better yet, whens the last time that title was even defended at a WM???

Money in the bank will be good if the last 3 spots are filled with decent wrestlers.

Hardcore match should be good.

Not excited about the rest, and the Mark Henry match could be bad enough to ruin the whole show.

WWE belts have never meant as little as they do now. The tag division, well, that's been dead forever. The US title died with Orlando Jordan, and both heavyweight titles aren't nearly as illustrious as they used to be. Shoot, the only belt that's being made to look mildly important is the CW belt! Who'd a thunk it? I expect WM to feature some CW battle royal, with the winner (hopefully Gibson or London) facing Helms later in the night.

Here's hoping they throw some Smackdown guys into the money in the bank match and *GASP* Let them win it. Benoit, Booker, Finlay, Boogeyman (I'd love to see him thrown off the ladder)

As long as Hart is showing up for TV i'll be there, not expecting a ton though.
The only other thing I'm hoping for is to see Cena get booed. Its really the only reason I watch anymore, I don't know why I hate the guy so much I just do.
