Today's issue of The Wrestling Observer was the awards issue. It's voted by subscribers. A lot of stuff is wrestling and MMA combined, which I hate (not MMA, the fact they're grouped together, though I voted Lesnar as best draw and Dana as best promoter), but whatever. I'm not listing the MMA exclusive stuff.

I'm surprised ECW ranked above Smackdown for Weekly Show of the year. I agree with it as Smackdown has sucked since Summerslam whereas ECW has been consistantly above average, but I didnt think enough people watched ECW to vote for it.

Also surprised that HBK-Flair didnt win MOTY. It seemed like popular belief that the IWC felt that was MOTY. Although, I agree with you JJ, Edge-Taker at ONS was my MOTY. Maybe it was just the mark in me, but I didn't think there was any way Edge was walking out with the title, and he did, and to top it off, Taker took a huge bump that I never thought he'd do. Plus Edge's reaction after winning, and Taker's "last walk," both seemed geniune. Oh, and the match itself was great.

It's cool to see Striker winning commenator of the year. For some reason, I don't see him lasting as a commentator...but I love his work.

Jericho had an amazing year, so it's good to see him gets props for it. The Y2J/HBK feud was my top feud as well. The matches were good as well as the build. Even HBK's wife took one for the team. I thought the Taker/Edge matches (WM and TLC) were the best of the year though.

Its good to see my boy John Cena won Most Charismatic. He's my favorite wrestler. I don't agree with Jericho best on interview. He just unhappy and mean most of the time.

Jericho is the BEST on the mic in the world right now (active and in good enough shape to get out there anyway....)

The Miz has improved, but the most major improvement to me HAS to be Randy Orton FINALLY breaking out, discovering his character and being what he always was supposed to be. It's felt forced for years with that guy and he is FINALLY the definition of what he's supposed to be. He's going to be huge....
