Damn, thats disapointing as I was looking forward to it. I played the Legends of Wrestling series years ago and it just didnt do it for me so I was in hopes that this one would, hell I was planning on buying it the day it dropped but now you got me thinking a Gamefly rental would probably be better.

Yeah definately don't drop 60 bones on this puppy until you know if it's worth it. On the off chance it's good it shouldn't be a problem in finding a used copy for cheaper and it's not like NBA 2K9 where the roster becomes dated after a few months.

I hope with that demo the guy was playing on easy because he won pretty quickly while being distracted talking to DiBiase. And those buttons to tell you what to press is a total game killer if you can't remove those. It already looks like a button masher already. I don't think people need visual aids to make it worse.

The thing that bothers me is it looks like you have that little health meter and when that's gone that's it. So you're looking at 3 and 4 min matches. I wish you could import legends into Smackdown vs raw. I've had some great matches with that this year. It'd be awesome to have a 20+ min. Bret Hart vs Hbk match. I could look past most everything if you could have long "realistic" or as least as realistic as a video game about a work can be matches. To pay 60 bucks for 3 and 4 min. matches seems like it's asking too much. Maybe there'll be some sliders that can save this.

Playing SD vs. Raw again (rented it on 360 so I'd have the save,no patch btw) you're getting 3-4 minute matches on normal there too. I forgot sliders don't have any effect in RtW and it defaults back to normal.

The only way we'll ever get proper matches is if they let us book them in advance (or in story mode case already pre-booked) and then play them out. As is you can let the AI beat on you a bit for the sake of appearences but that also gives them a small window to win and if they do you'll have to re-do the match anyway.

We'd have to have an option menu such as this:

WM XXV
Cena vs. Edge
Title match? Yes
Can't end before: 20 mins
Winner: Edge
Cena: 2x signature,1x finisher
Edge: 1x signature,2x finisher

That way you,as Edge would be able to beat on Cena for 10 mins,let him beat on you and then turn it around again to win. Alternate paths for story mode of course.

I've been playing on legend, hall of fame, or whatever the hardest difficulty is with sliders and having matches that last between 10 and 20 min. I have the momentum slider toned down as well as the damage and reversals. It works out in the exhibition mode can't really say about rtw though. I played those out of the box just because i wanted to play through the stories in a timely manner.

My exhibition matches have been awesome though. I had a Cena vs Batista match that went about 17 min. the other day where Batista went for a Batista Bomb(first attempt of the match) and i countered with a ddt then hit him with the fu or whatever it's called now also first one of the match (my first attempt was blocked). Too bad there isn't a gm mode to have these matches in though. It would be nice to have a mode where you actually lay out a match though that'd be cool.

I read on another forum that there are supposedly 6 unlockables. Like the shadows of guys on svr in the selection. 4 singles and a tag team. I can't verify this so take it for what its worth.

Edit: It was 8 unlockables, 4 singles and 2 tag teams. Supposedly on the lowm site the silhouettes were on the site for a short while then taken down.

The guy said he was 99.9% sure one of the tag teams was Demolition, said the other one looked like Strike Force, was definitely sure Earthquake was one, one had slicked back hair he thought IRS, and wasn't sure about the other two. One was a medium build (Savage?). Not sure on the other maybe Steamboat? That'd make sense, Strike Force vs Demolition and Steamboat vs Savage were WM matches. If Typhoon was in the game i'd say quake and IRS make sense too. Money Inc. vs Natural Disasters from 8. Once again all speculation but something to think about I guess.
