    Question about Undertaker's first matches

I watched Undertaker's first match on Raw on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TvY32-5xH4 and if I heard the introductions right, it sounds like the announcer says "introducing Kane, The Undertaker" If I heard him right, does anyone know how long this lasted or if it went anywhere in the story?

Re: Question about Undertaker's first matches

Calaway made his official on-camera debut on November 22 at Survivor Series as a heel when he was the mystery partner of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar team, where he was called Kane the Undertaker.[11] Approximately one minute into the match, The Undertaker eliminated Koko B. Ware with his finisher, the Tombstone Piledriver. He also eliminated Dusty Rhodes before being counted out. The commentary team for the event referred to him as The Undertaker, neglecting the Kane name. Shortly after Survivor Series, "Kane" was dropped from his name, and he was called simply The Undertaker

Thank you, interesting that they never made reference to that when Kane actually appeared. Could've added a nice twist to the story.

That is Superstars. Raw wasn't around yet.

Best part of that story is that was really his debut, not Survivor Series like the commentary says. This was filmed prior to SSeries, but aired the week after.

I remember Kane was once Dr. Isaac Yankem, the King's dentist until a real life accident disfigured his face. Hence the mask and the emergence of Kane.

Never heard Taker referred to as Kane until now, however..

Yea, I'm pretty sure his face was never disfigured in real life...

Haha I know. I don't know which one was worse in terms of appearance.

At least fake Razor somewhat resembled Razor in the face. Kane did not look like Diesel at all except in size.

The character Kane was "hideously disfigured" in a fire during his childhood. Hence the mask. The characters on tv aren't the same people in real life.

I believe it was spelled Cain the Undertaker instead of Kane. Not that it really matters I just seem to remember having a magazine as a kid and that being the way it was spelled.
