Pretty good review, although I was hoping Universe Mode would have received more attention in the article.

The guy knows nothing about wrestling. Universe mode is the one of the biggest modes in the game and he spends one sentence on it. What a lame.

He also said that Universe mode had flaws, yet completely glossed over everything they added. IGN reviews are rather worthless. Wait for someone around here or in the know to say something about it.

8.5 or higher = This game will be awesome! I love this site/reviewer! They know exactly what they're talking about!

Less than 8.5 = Ayyeeee you bunch of bums! You don't know what you're doing! How do you still have your jobs! Bah who needs reviews?

I'm usually a pretty big advocate of IGN reviews for anything not dealing with sports, but it was blatantly obvious that this was a bought review. IGN was doing a livestream with the developers so they couldn't go any lower than 8 on this review no matter what problems the game had. I'm very wary of this review and will probably wait until OperationSports reviews the game before making a decision. There were a lot of small issues mentioned in the article with no good things really mentioned which makes me think the game might not be that good.

Apparently Game Informer gave it a 9. It was shown in the launch trailer.

I also think that if this was a "bought" review the score would have been higher. Just my opinion though.

Score was lower than last year.

As I said, you should wait for another review period as the guy didn't sound like he really knew much about the game to begin with. It is best to have an actual wrestling fan review it.

It's hard to take a lot of those reviews serious. If they writer doesn't like the sport he is reviewing, it's going to get a low rating. In my years, "professional" reviews are never too "balanced".

I always check the reviews from users. They give a more detailed review. Plus, the users tend to talk about the things that we all care about. I read a "professional" review where the author didn't like the menu system, so he gave the game a low rating. Gameplay and options is what I'm looking for in this game. But, to each their own.

                    Here's the GI review: http://www.gameinformer.com/games/ww...13-review.aspx

It is in fact a 9 and claim it's better than No Mercy. Feel free to heap praise on them this year after last year they were all terrible people and gave it an even lower score than I did.

I was able to play this at RAW for about 20 mins last night and I was impressed in the short time I got to play it..the graphics were amazing, the models are the best they've been in years IMO..

I had no idea what I was doing having not played '12 all that much, but pulling off moves was really smooth. Wish we could've played something besides one on one.

Oh, and why the heck is Brodus Clay rated an 87? Lol

A LOT of the wrestlers are rated an 87+. I'm definitely going to be re-rating a lot of the wrestlers. Not sure if there are additional attributes or not, but what I had last year, might work for this year.

Wasn't WWE 12 like a 5.5 in GI last year?

                            I'm impressed.

Yes, it was. GI has been really tough on the WWE games in recent years, so I'm intrigued with their score. I wasn't looking to buy it this year after the debacle they had with last year's servers, but maybe I'll go out this weekend and get it if I don't see server problems from people who have the game already.
