Ultimate Warrior - Ways to get him?

1. The fact that the Ultimate Warrior is only available via Pre-Order is non-sense. What if NBA 2k12 only allowed you to play with Dwayne Wade if you pre-ordered....videogames are expensive enough...its the use of DLC and pre-order exclusives gives me the sense of being ripped off...but whatever...

I would like to have the Ultimate Warrior in my Universe in the worse way...I wondering if either of the following would work

1. If I went to Gamestop would they give it to me if I asked for it now...even though its past that time

2. Does the freehack actually work...or is it a gimmick to do a survey?

i called the gamestop customer service line this morning...

1-800-883-8895

i didnt preorder, but told them i did, said my code wouldn't work for me and that the store said they didnt have anymore to give out.

within 5 minutes she emailed me a code.

when calling i selected option 2 in the menu..

the lady was very nice, heck, i waited longer on hold than it did for her to take care of me.

ps.. i gave her my phone number, she looked up my account. seen i bought the game etc. thats why she gave the code to me.

I can verify that this method works. Took me two calls (first call was no help) but the second operator gave me the code over the phone.

So if you didn't download Warrior, you still play as him against Hogan in WM mode but he's not available outside of that?

I was out of town on business the week the game came out, so I could not pre-order the game.

It was available for pre-order long before the week the game came out. "Could not" pre-order and "did not" pre-order are two completely different things.

You have 48 hours to pick up a pre-order. I was out of town for 8 days, thus I could not pre-order the game because I was not in town to redeem it within the 48-hour time limit.

How did that work? Couldn't they look up that you didn't get that edition? Or did you do something different on that call?

I was really disappointed that it was only available through that special edition and I debated getting that version just for that. The only other "collector's edition" I've purchased was back when Madden's came with Head Coach, too.

I agree that paid DLC is getting ridiculous. However, I'm not sure how a pre-order exclusive leaves someone feeling ripped off. The game doesn't cost any more when you pre-order...you just put a deposit down up front that goes toward the game when you pick it up. At least the last couple years have had the same pre-order bonuses across the board. I hated having to figure out if I wanted the Best But one or the Gamestop one and then having to wait months down the road for the other to be released as paid DLC.

Man, I waited forever on the phone with Gamestop. Like 30 minutes at a time before I gave up

Besides...its better to wait and find out the game is good but not have the pre-order DLC then to pre-order and be stuck with a crap game
