Re: List the wrestlers who were "your guys"...

I started watching WCW in 1999 and my favourites there were:

Booker T - oozed cool and style in the ring.

Ernest 'The Cat' Miller - for some reason he was hilarious.

Terry Funk - his hardcore match with Meng was one that stands out to be as being pretty funny. Always respected Funk.

Scott Steiner - his freaking biceps!

Goldberg - he was a badass and undefeated for so long, I was drawn in completely.

Dave Taylor and Steven Regal - Anyone British was a novelty for me but I enjoyed Taylor and Regal's antics.

Then in WWF/E in 2000-05:

Kurt Angle - loved his character when he started in WWF. Then realised he was a brilliant wrestler.

Chris Jericho - I used to only watch Heat when it was on C4 in Britain, and Jericho was one of the main regular babyfaces on that show along with Matt and Jeff.

Undertaker - I remember his return as a biker and have always liked him since. But back then he was a legend to me even more so.

The Rock - have always liked him, my main memory of him at that time was winning the Rumble in 2000.

Brock Lesnar - just awesomely powerful and intimidating.

Eddie Guerrero - loved his antics with Chyna and then his pursuit of the WWE Championship.

D'Lo Brown - always have been a massive fan. Gutted nothing came of his return in '08.

After about the time of Eddie's death I didn't have the ability to watch until 2008.

WWE 2008-present

Kane - have always enjoyed him so could have been in the last category as well. Still one of my 'guys', I thought Team Hell No was utter genius.

Goldust - his return has made me so happy. Enjoyed his work since 2002 and the tag team with Booker T, was pleased when he got good exposure on ECW, disappointed when released and proud of him now with the Tag Titles.

Christian - I used to dislike Christian until about '03 when he started teaming with Y2J. Now he's my favourite wrestler and I've never been so pleasantly surprised as when I was watching ECW on Feb 10, 2009 when he returned.

Daniel Bryan - I don't need to say much - so happy he is having a successful WWE career.

Kaitlyn - On the first episode she graced on NXT, she was just the beautiful girl next door - didn't even realise her personality was so attractive along with her physique. The complete package and will only improve with experience.

Others from this time:

Shelton Benjamin
Matt Striker
Matt Hardy
William Regal
AJ Lee
CM Punk
Antonio Cesaro

#1 always will be Macho Man Randy Savage

I liked Piper and Cowboy Bob when I was a kid.
Dibiase and Virgil were pretty cool too.
And Flair!

Then when I was watchin Attitude Era I was all about New Age Outlaws, DX, The Rock before he came back from filming his movies 79 times. Now its just old. Tho I would be willing to bet he could/would/should own any of these guys today.

Couple of I hadnt seen mentioned that I liked:
The Dudleys
Rhyno
Hurricane Helms
Hardcore Holly
Mr. Kennedy

Re: List the wrestlers who were "your guys"...

Okay, let's see how much I can remember from my first years as a wrestling fan.

I got into WCW in late 1997, when I was 8, then got into WWF after moving. My neighbor was the first person I had ever met that was as into wrestling as I was. He was 13 and was a huge WWF fan, so he got me really hooked on WWF.

My WCW guys, when I first got into it were -

Goldberg - I remember seeing his first match against Hugh Morris, and something about him had me hooked.

Sting

Raven

Scott Hall - didn't really like the other NWO guys, but Hall just oozed cool. I would get people's attention by saying "hey yo, chico"

Rey Mysterio

Then, when I got into WWF, I was a big fan of -

Stone Cold - I mean, who wasn't into him?

X-Pac - when I was 9 and 10, I'd wrestle on the my neighbor's trampoline with him and his little brother and some of his friends, the X-Factor was the only finisher I could execute, so I latched onto X-Pac because he was a small, underdog type.

Gangrel - the vampire thing was awesome to 9 year old me.

Golga - Cartman t-shirt. Need I say more?

New Age Outlaws

Those are really the only guys that stand out to me.

Then, I stopped watching wrestling until late 2001, as the Alliance angle was wrapping up. I watched from late 2001 until mid-2003.

My "guys" then were -

Jeff Hardy

Undertaker - loved the biker gimmick

Kane

Rob Van Dam

Triple H

"Reverend" D-Von Dudley

DDP - I didn't really like him in WCW, but loved him in his brief WWE run

Kevin Nash

I stopped watching shortly after Kane's unmasking, and didn't start watching again until 2006. My first RAW in 2006 was when Jeff Hardy returned.

During that time frame, I was a big fan of

Jeff Hardy

Rob Van Dam

Booker T

John Cena - loved his Chaingang leader gimmick

Kurt Angle

Chris Benoit

Eddie Guerrero

Rey Mysterio

Lita

Trish Stratus

Shawn Michaels

Bobby Lashley

Stopped watching in late 2006, then started back in 2011, and have been pretty interested ever since.

My guys since then have been -

CM Punk

Dolph Ziggler

Chris Jericho

Daniel Bryan

Seth Rollins

Damien Sandow

Randy Orton

That's really about it, for now.

Re: List the wrestlers who were "your guys"...

HBK.
I loved him in the Rockers. Him and Janetty should have been tag champs. If it wasn't for Bret Hart's politics, they would have been. Then HBK broke away into singles competition. When he was IC champ, he almost made that title just as important as the World Title. His matches with Razor, Davey Smith, Owen Hart, were better than the matches that Hogan and Bret Hart were putting on at the time. Then along came DX. He was obnoxious, arrogant, crude, but was able to be that way since he know how good he was at the time. During the mid 90s, no one was better than HBK in the ring or on the Mic (WWE or WCW).

The 80s...
Hulk Hogan
Macho Man
Millon Dollar Man
Mr. Perfect
Demolition
Ric Rude

90s...
HBK
Rockers
Jericho
HHH (he was much better in his pre-roided days where he could move around the ring very quickly. Then as The Game, he was too muscular, slow, and not as entertaining).
Mr. Perfect
Nash and Hall
Ric Rude

00s...
HBK
Jericho
Kurt Angle
Hardys
AJ Styles

10s...
CM Punk
Daniel Bryan
Jericho
AJ Styles
