The ironic thing about this quote was that about 15 years ago, WCW fans said the same thing about Austin when he won his first title.

Of course, it wasn't true. That's the thing about having a true super-duper star (and I'm not saying that Bryan is on that level yet), you can pretty much roll out anybody in front of him and the super duper star can make it work because of their force of personality. Hogan feuded with Brutus Beefcake, King Kong Bundy, Hercules Hernandez, and Zeus for goodness sakes. Austin feuded with Dude Love and the Big Boss Man. The Rock with Mr. ***, a relatively new Kurt Angle, The Hurricane, and Rikishi (all of which were classic feuds lol).

Discussions the past couple of posts have been better than what RAW was.

I've said before, I've been watching the 2000 PPVs on the Network so my hatred for HHH is at an all time high. I curse you if he wins the belt, Uber.

I didn't even cheer for him when he returned from his quad injury. I ain't forget about all the ****ery he pulled before he got hurt.

Re: 03/31/14 Raw: It's the Final Countdown

I guess my fascination with HHH winning the belt is a bit of nostalgia for me. I want to see the "Cerebral Assassin" come back in force. Not for a whole year however. You all know I just got back into wrestling in the month before the Royal Rumble PPV (I ordered the Rumble PPV as a result) so can you blame me for my thoughts? However you all also know how I enjoy watching wrestling cause I've said it before. Some of these new guys I've seen (Bryan,Ziggler,Cesaro,Shield etc) are in my mind the future of the company. Would I love to see Bryan win the belt at Mania, you can bet on that brother but just for kicks and my own nostalgia I would be happy with HHH winning as well.

Wow AJ has fallen from the good graces i wish she could keep the belt and build it back up with a good feud with Natty.

Good stuff with John Cena and Bray Wyatt.

Orton/Batista: Go away the both of you get them out of the main event picture. Go back to moves Batista and go find something Orton that will make you want to be seen in the main event.

Pipers Pit: Terrible use of Piper. I'm happy that they are doing the Andre the Giant battle royal to get 30 guys on ppv. But at the same time would rather see Christian vs Sheamus. I would have had Daniel Bryan on Piers Pit to talk about HHH.

Shield vs Kane and The Middle Age Outlaws: Been ok i hope the match gets sometime Sunday.

Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker: Should be a great brawl not sure they have done enough to plant a seed of doubt in the streak ending.

Speaking of Swagger, he really does not get enough credit for how much he has improved his ankle lock. It's not Kurt Angle level (and probably won't ever get there) but it's been looking good for a while now!

Say Daniel Bryan wins and becomes the conquering hero this year. Now, mind you we will never get ROH "American Dragon" from him in the WWE, where would you have him go after Mania?

I'm asking honestly, because I can't think of one thing more interesting than him taking the belt from Hunter at SummerSlam and then an in-ring career v. title match at Mania (at least, if HHH feels it's that time to walk into the sunset as a 'wrestler' - he deserves a proper going out match like that. I don't want this fake BS "retirement" only to have a singles match two years later.) If he gets in good shape and they play it right, even if the outcome is "obvious", it can still add layers of doubt to the story. They can always set it up in different ways as well.

Even if it's short, a power-tripping HHH returning to 'Cerebral Assassin' form is a perfect way to send him off. The way the crowds are today (Heel/face divide is pretty much irrelevant when it comes to crowd reaction) it seems the only way to draw any real heat (read as: The boos the heels are looking for) is to "blur lines" and only HHH/Steph are set in that position. Punk possibly could if he came back, but I feel like no matter what he did the crowds would cheer him for the most part over a short course of time. I mean, technically him being a heel character (leaving with the belt when his contract was up giving us all the finger in the process) only made him more over. Cena kinda draws heat, but the reaction for him is split and it will always be split. If he turns heel the dueling chants would just be reversed.

Cesaro is/was a heel, but he's so good he's basically over and is a de facto face. Ziggler falls into this category as well. It's almost like they are trying to ride the wave the ROH-like crowds are creating (you like workers because you like workers, work rate >>> booking/storylines) without shifting their in-ring product to allow for that. Eventually (and probably pretty quick) there will be fallout from that. Either they (the E) learn how to work the crowd in alternate methods, or the crowd (the ones that drive ticket sales, not the kiddies that convince parents to move merch) will be through with the BS they would be attempting to pull.
Here's a better question. Say Triple H wins the belt. Where does Bryan go from there? I promise you its the same friggin road he'll go even if he wins the belt. If he wins the belt and stays face, it's the same slate of opponents lined up from now til Summerslam. If he loses, he's certainly not turning heel, so it's the same slate of opponents from now until Summerslam. So what mysterious "more interesting" program are you setting up by having Triple H win?

Re: 03/31/14 Raw: It's the Final Countdown

I don't know about ya'll...but I want Triple H to win just comedic purposes.

It's already been clear for some time that they've defied logic/common sense when it comes to this and previous storylines so now I'm just looking for comedy at this point. Plus, I want the Triple H memes/gifs to continue and if you give him the Belts, then they're even more hilarious.
