Re: Ring of Honor/Other Indie Promotions Discussion

Breaking News: IMPACT Wrestling has fired their World Champion Tessa Blanchard, vacating the title.

Quote:

Relations between Blanchard and Impact had become increasingly icy in recent weeks, especially after Blanchard did not send promos from Mexico (where she has been residing) for the 6/1 episode of Impact on AXS. That footage was slated to have been edited into a sit-down interview conducted by Josh Mathews “via satellite.” When that material was not received, Impact had to re-edit the episode with other content and have host segments of the show changed and new voiceovers cut.

Impact sources cite that there were attempts made to get Blanchard to return and drop the title but that the two sides were not able to come to terms. Blanchard’s deal was slated to expire before the PPV but Impact was hoping that she would return for a final appearance. When it became increasingly obvious that wasn’t going to happen, Impact opted to cut bait and move forward.”

Sounds really unprofessional on her part, so good for them. Hopefully they have a second physical title, because if she couldn't be bothered to film a video there's no way they're getting that belt back.

I would be 100% okay if they keep running with their old one Moose has been carrying around.

Guess that Heath Slater Raw appearance truly was a one off.

He's now in Impact as well less than 2 weeks after his Raw appearance.

Due to various factors, does this count as the shortest time between a WWE stars last WWETV appearance and their first appearance in TNA/Impact?

Ken Shamrock will be the latest inductee into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame with a surprise inductee and WWE helping out. After it was announced Shamrock was going to be inducted, he asked The Rock to help with his induction, and The Great One said yes. Obviously not in person but The Rock will appear on Impact Wrestling during Bound for Glory Weekend with a video induction of Ken Shamrock.

Impact Wrestling reached out to WWE and WWE is allowing them to use the footage of Shamrock tapping out The Rock to win the 1998 King of The Ring. Shamrock will also be stepping back into the ring and facing Moose at Bound For Glory.
