So I basically gave up on WWE turning the corner but I saw on my FB feed that Taker's WM opponent is Shane McMahon?

If this is true I came to express my sincerest sympathies to all the guys who still watch with hopes that it will get better.

As of now it is Shane v. Taker in HIAC at Mania with the power of the company on the line. If Shane wins he gets control of Raw and control of the company.

I would love to see The Authority finally go away and for Shane O'Mac to be the new GM of Raw ... but at the expense of The Undertaker, possibly in his last Wrestlemania match?! To quote every Will Smith movie ever: "Hell naw."

The crowd popped like crazy when his music hit.

Must be a lot of dummies in Detroit.

I mean if it is his last match, most go out on their backs. If it's for control of Raw and better booking, (we could wish) I see no issue.

Even if Shane wins, it's only a matter of time before he'd turn in to the evil authority figure. I'd rather a Jack Tunney type in charge that you only see when a major announcement has to be made

Maybe Taker even loses for that reason. Final match, sacrifices himself for the ultimate good of wwe(storyline wise). The guy that has been loyal to wwe all the time, goes out by putting over the entire future of the company basically

That crowd was nuts! That was MASSIVE pop when his music hit. Damn near blew the roof off, plus four different chants, and all before he even said a single word.
