I wish. Problem is when you have your main eventers wrestle every week on Raw and Smackdown, you can't turn around and headline a minor PPV with something like Nakamura vs Jeff Hardy.

I swear Brock Lesnar is the only smart worker left in this company. His contract, and the way he has leveraged UFC, has made it to where he's basically un****upable.

But there's a skill in laying out a match so it peaks at the finish. Over the last year or so, I feel like they've lost the touch on that for Takeovers. Almost every mildly-important match has too many false finishes, to be more "epic", I guess...but for me it just ends up with the actual finish falling flat. Not every time, obviously, but enough to mention.

Opinions will vary on this though.
yeah when you see 3-4 finishers get kicked out of,the 5th finisher gets hit and you expect the match to keep going so you don’t build up the anticipation for a fall. Then you get a three count and it’s like...that’s it?

Iron Mike Sharpe used to really tick me off as a kid at WWF house shows. He'd duck in and out of the ropes, yell at the ref and go out to the floor for several minutes before finally locking up with his opponent.

Annoying, but effective. He got heat.

They would take it too far back then at those house shows lol. They wouldn't do anything but stalling and rest holds.

They had to protect themselves back then with the insane schedule they ran.
