    WWE Sold to Endeavor

WWE has a lot of things going on right now. Vince McMahon is still running the ship, but is he looking to jump off soon? Disney might be interested for a

This would be insane if it happens. ESPN or Fox owning WWE!?

I could see them getting the network or something, but McMahon flat out selling the whole company!?

They've been talking about WWE selling for years. I'll believe it when I see it.

        Re: For Sale: WWE?!

Interesting comments about a WWE sale. Nothing will be happening soon, but Freddie Prinze Jr said that before Fox paid for the rights to SD, WWE was trying to get Fox to buy the whole company, but Fox said no.

That does sound believable, and lines up with rumors of the companies who could've bought them.

Of course, we know the whole Peacock deal too, it also wouldn't surprise me if they approached NBC about buying them before they just opted for buying the network rights.

          Re: For Sale: WWE?!

Figured I'll bump this given the recent news.

I read Comcact (owns NBC universal/Peacock and so on) and Fox are among the big companies who could be part of this sale.

The thing I wonder is if they'll just buy WWE for the content, or to actually run them.

And will some non wrestling heads be good to own them?

To me it's like a sports team. Do you want a company who knows nothing about sports running a team, an individual owner, or a mix of both (company owns them but hires someone who knows the ins and outs to run things at the top)?

Would be hilarious if Tony Khan bought it.

I hope he doesn’t…but it would be hilarious.

The latest reports say that the SA group and Tony Khan would be the only willing buyers right now) to take the company public.

Which makes me wonder if there's a realistic scenario where WWE doesn't sell but just goes back private.

I think the irony in Tony Khan buying it would be hilarious given AEW's whole attitude was to be the alternative to WWE. Giving fans an alternative wrestling program to watch, but would buy WWE to put us in the same situation we were in back in 2001.

Only one major wrestling company with no alternative and fans would then be saying we need an alternative to AEW, they need competition, the same things they said about WWE for nearly two decades.

If I was Khan, I would try to buy WWE, shut it down like Vince did WCW and AEW reigns supreme. Then, I get out of that crappy TV deal with Warner/Discovery because they're going to turn them into WWE which I don't want. I then use WWE's streaming service to launch my own (AEW) and boom, a new revolution of professional wrestling is born. Subscription based. $10 a month. All Dynamite, Rampage, PPV's and their NXT developmental equivalent. Hehehe.

                        AEW baby!! lol

Imagine buying WWE just to shut it down for AEW to take over and pro wrestling to become even more irrelevant with people still referring to AEW as WWE when they reference wrestling because nobody cares about Tony Kahn or AEW.

Yes, it would absolutely suck if that happened. WWE isn't changing, regardless of who owns it. It's like McDonald's at this point.

Shad likes making money and AEW is a money pit, while WWE is a money printer
