What an ending!

This is why gimmick PPVs take away from feuds, because its forced on matches.

But the spontaneous HIAC match announcement was great.

Man if WWE were still doing Cinematic matches, Edge and Rollins could have had a match inside Edge's home surrounded by Hell In A Cell.

But really, the women are fine. Tonight had very little ring time, but the matches progressed the tournament. They also had the contract signing segment to push the title match, and furthered the Naomi/Sonya thing.

And Bianca/Becky, Bianca/Sasha, and Bianca/Charlotte within the last week or two all went like 15 minutes, right? And that's before adding in whatever angles and promos they used for other minor stories. The women are still getting time.

Their first two matches have been great and I'm sure HIAC will continue that, but wow, they'd kill it in a cinematic style.

What can I say about this week's Smackdown? Nice opening segment with the Women's Title participants. Misterio vs Zayn was a good match with Zayn advancing into the next round of the KOTR tournament. Cesaro/Balor had the better match though as I liked some of the spots they did. I guess Balor is going to move on from the ring rope incident. Or maybe the fans are supposed to forget about it.

The women's KOTR qualifying matches were too short though. Jesus christ. Liv Morgan deserves better. I know Smackdown is a 2 hour show but they deserve more time. Do we have to waste 10 minutes on The Tribal Chief's entrance every week now? That was a nice promo from Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman though directed at Brock Lesnar. Final segment was fire. Seth Rollins has done such a great job at being a prick. Their storytelling is getting very heated and now I want to see Edge beat him in their Hell in the Cell match. Decent show overall.

I actually thought those matches were fine. Maybe another minute or two each. That’s the length match I want on the weekly shows. I’d rather they trim the men’s matches than stretch out the women’s.

Exactly.

TV matches should be shorter. IMO, any match other than a main event or title match should be under 10 minutes on TV, fit into a single segment.
