"Unfortunately, it wasn’t the blockbuster announcement many of us had hoped for. Instead of being a potential release date or more gameplay footage of the highly anticipated AEW*No Mercy-style game,"
I mean, there's hope and there's realistic, and given all the overtures so far, the big game is a looooooong way off (honestly, I'd be shocked if it came out earlier than AEW Dynamite's 3rd anniversary in October 2022).* But that's good, because hopefully that means Yuke's isn't just scratching off the engine where it said WWE and putting in AEW, a long dev cycle means Yuke's can hopefully do all the things they yearned to do with the WWE license and the games but had their hands tied with mandated directives. And if Kenny's saying theyre gonna support it post-release with added talents or PPVs, then it also sounds like this won't be a product Yuke's will be forced to pump out every 9 months, which is also good! So we're a ways off, but I'm willing to wait if it makes for a great game.*
Just let me wrestle as Orange Cassidy with my hands in my pockets.
