Honestly with all the releases and the way everyone lost their freakin mind, that's a much better roster than I expected.
DOR 1 and 2 were two of my favorite wrestling games of all time and there were only like 40 and 43 superstars on those games. You don't really need a HUGE roster for a great wresting game, and I hope this one is good.

I agree that a massive roster isn't necessary, but still think there are a few confusing omissions. No Rick Boogz (but King Nakamura), Doudrop, MSK, Madcap Moss (but Happy Corbin), LA Knight (thought he'd be a lock), Xi Lia or Zelina Vega.
Now, with Vega it was a little more reasonable since she was released then brought back, yet the rest of that group have been fixtures on NXT/WWE television for quite sometime.
Hopefully most or all of them will be added through DLC packs.
Some missing names I would've expected in, but a solid roster overall.
I think DLC will fill in a few of the gaps here.
LA Knight, MSK, Indi Hartwell, Doudrop, and Omos seem like safe bets. Maybe since they're around again, grab the Lita and Rousey models from the recycle bin and toss them into one of these packs too?
I just want Yokozuna in one of these games again. Hasn't been in one since...2K14 with the WM mode, right?

I was hoping for more legends. Eddie Guerrero, Mick Foley.

Eddie, Dominik Mysterio, HBK, and JBL are in the game but not in this video (presumably because they unlock in Showcase?)
Pretty surprised at the number of released wrestlers. Figured they had plenty of time to get most of them out. But I think it's a good thing. Seeing people mad about it is weird. But people love to be mad.
And I would bet there will be a NXT 2.0 DLC pack. Hopefully we get Bronn, LA Knight, MSK, Carmelo Hayes, and some of the newer guys/girls.

Hard pass from me. 60 less wrestlers than last game. I was expecting a legends heavy approach and was expecting a similar batch that featured in battlegrounds. I’d have been in day one and nWo edition…..
But some names I really expected missing.
Such a shame the WWE games take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back constantly.
I’ll give it 8 months and it’ll be heavily heavily discounted as always. Nothing I’ve seen gets me on board everything seems compromised as usual.
I've sort of got mixed feelings on the roster. On the one hand there's a lot of released stars in the game that I didn't think would be. On the other hand they're missing a lot of current stars I thought were a given and the current stars that are in the game look pretty dated.
It almost feels like they locked in the roster a few months after 2K20 released and didn't really change much after that. I thought the whole point of the delay from November to March was prevent the Roster from being so outdated? It feels like they skipped 2K21, took a year off, then released 2K21 anyway.
Come on PC modders...... Not that I expect an attitude era dominated roster but there isn't much here for a guy that hasn't cared about wrestling since the early 2000s. Do we know who all is included with the NWO version?
