Sorry, I normally hate these threads but Im curious how you guys feel about the game. Ive considered getting it but didnt wanna spend 6o on a game I may not like. I just got a 50 gift card and saw Gamestop has it for 40.

Gameplay is good but the creation suite is very bare bones compared to last gen.

I should start by saying that I haven't followed the current WWE much over the past 5-10 years so some of the storyline stuff was neat to see but I just don't have a whole lot of connection to most of the roster. I know most of the names and have an idea of most gimmicks but that's about it. Couldn't really tell you more than 1/4 of the finishers though. Even still, I grabbed this a couple weeks ago when GS first dropped it to $40. I'm kinda sorry I did. It's not so much that it's a bad game or anything but I just don't get as excited about it as I do others. Part of that could be that I'm more of a legends guy and this one is pretty light on those (at least until the Warrior DLC).

Also, maybe I got too used to the old controls but something just seems off about them to me. The reversal window seems a LOT shorter to me. There are definite momentum swings (which is GOOD!) but sometimes I feel like I get caught on the wrong side of one and it's nearly impossible to stop. I'm starting to get the handle on timing and stuff so that may change. It also just feels like there are fewer moves for each superstar this year. Eventually, I'll go into the Create-A-Moveset area and may find a bunch of stuff that I've been missing but that's my initial feeling. I have fun when I play the game but I don't find myself looking forward to playing it nearly as much as I do with other games.

Bottom line, I think it could be a good game for someone that's more into the current roster. For me, I wish I would've waited for an even bigger drop in price.

i like it but theres few things with glitches that makes ya scratch ya head and say huh? like fighting for a title at WM winning the match and not being rewarded the title.

then the lack of cut scenes least for me i seem to get the same ones over and over the newest one i saw was the formation of a group celebrating at top of ramp only to never wrestle as a faction because 2 of the 3 guys disappear from my universe after this scene twice now.

i havent tried my universe or whatever its called yet but if its anything like other one i just meantioned that has lack of cut scenes etc may well just skip that since been there down that.

the only thing i dont like is u have to keep paying for extra wrestlers i mean in last gen u paided $25 extra and once the new wrestlers or legends pack came out u just d/l the wrestlers now the $10 a pack is lil high.

so if u want all extra wrestlers arena's u have to drop another near $60 on the game... so then u have $120 invested in a 60 game.

I like it. Downloaded a whole lot of WWF stars from the 1980s and 1990s. Downloaded a lot WCW and ECW stars too. And I just recreate all the great matches from my childhood and teenaged years.

I really like the game, but it could do with more sliders so the matches are longer.

In certain circumstances you can have outstanding matches, but sliders would have made those a lot more frequent.

I'm only 14 but I love classic wrestling I can't wait to get the MSG arena and Iron Sheik in the warrior pack and do the math in 84 (with the help of new attires) were Hogan won his first WWWF (World Wide Wrestling Federation) Title

It was already known as the WWF in 1984. They changed from WWWF to WWF in 1979
