WWE 2K17 OS Community Impressions

I'm in a falls count anywhere match and just gave my signature move to Cesaro. It cut away because Cesaro was still in his entrance gear. After it cut back, I'm on the ground and can't move while Cesaro is just standing over me doing nothing. Have to quit the match.

The bugs in this game are beyond ridiculous

Glad I decided to wait a bit on this. Def gonna get it but I'll wait till they clean it up. Should be some good sliders and creations by then.

Just had this glitch after the first patch:

Three way ladder match...ladder gets brought into the ring and within seconds of use (it was leaned up against the ring ropes on the right side of the screen) it turns black and seems to be unusable even though it is still there. It can not be interacted with in any way at this point. Other ladders are brought in and used just fine.

Weird.

Hope more patches are to come.

Give it a chance man. Watch some videos on how submissions work because they are more forgiving then they were last year. The gameplay was great last year and they improved upon it in a few subtle ways. Bret Hart is my guy so you better bet your *** I know how to make guys submit using the sharpshooter lol. Put the game on easy until you finally get the hang of it and once you do, it will become more rewarding. Add me online if you want to play a few matches

My son and I downloaded the game and played our traditional 30-man Royal Rumble like we do with every new wrestling game. He didn't seem to have many issues, but I can't even count the number of times my wrestler just froze in the ring. It gave me absolutely zero chance to win. In addition, there were a couple glitches where the ropes messed up and one where my wrestler was stranded in mid air. I played hundreds of hours of 2K16, and I literally just saw more glitches/freezes in an hour with 2K17 than I saw the entire last year with 2K16.

I'm hopeful things get patched up because this game has loads of potential to be great. It definitely looks the part!

It seems like there was very little quality control done on this years game.
Every game has bugs, but some of the ones posted here and on the 2k forums would have been caught if they actually play tested the game.
If it was something that couldn't be fixed until that first patch I understand but since the patch didn't seem to do much then what is this development team working on?
It feels like they're waiting until the public beta tests their game before they fix it?
A couple of the reported universe bugs mean that for me it would not make sense to start a real universe at this time.
I have hope that after another patch it will be playable but at this time you can't play or trust universe mode to behave properly and I'd give the game a 5/10 overall.

Lots of complaints about the submissions...in the options menu you can change it to button mashing rather than the overlapping circle.

Hoping people aren't overlooking this option.

FWIW - I'm in love with the game this year so far, but I'll give more fleshed put impressions with some more time.
