Just posting this as a heads up for some people that don't know that you can play the game with the actual IN-Game Superstars in the My Career Mode.
This was a feature that was in 2k16 and 2k15 as well.

As you can see in the picture i attached i am playing My Career as Goldberg.

To do this.... go to Creations, Wwe Superstars...
Edit who ever you want to choose for your My Career and then set Alternate attire to NO.

Then go to My Career, press New. Select Import and your desired wrestler should appear for you to play as, in your Career mode.

Awesome, however if I choose Kevin Owens, will he be doubled since the game thinks you are using a created superstar?
