Is it possible to make a number contenders match and make it stick?

I've also had a lot of times where rival's didn't with rival for PPV title match.

Can anyone please give advice?

You can't actually make a match be a #1 contenders match. Never have been able to. Those are always done by the computer. As for rivals not having a PPV match it happens.

I personally dont pay any attention to any of that stuff and book all my own shows because the booking and the rankings and stuff have never made sense or worked very well.

You can edit the contenders rankings for each belt. I guess you could just book a match you want to be #1 contender and then just edit the rankings to make the winner #1

Yeah but the rankings don't necessarily mean anything in the game. I've seen completely random people get title shots, which is why I book everything and ignore the rankings and contenders the game put in. They've always been flawed.

I've tried to nerd out and set the contenders manually in the game and simultaneously record them on a spreadsheet, and there's seemingly no algorithm in place at all. 20 can jump to 1 when not even being used, 1 can fall out of the top 10 after doing nothing but winning, and (most commonly) the game sticks the same 2-3 guys in the top slot for every belt. Dean Ambrose and John Cena are almost always 1 and 2 for everything. It's poorly implemented.

I think rivalries don't work for 2K14, the rivalry manager doesn't work for the games. I think it's whoever is the number 2 contender over the number 1 contender. It might get boring because every WWE superstar on Raw wants that number 1 contender spot to get every United States and WWE championship. The same for SmackDown, everyone wants that number 1 contender spot for both the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight championships. I don't know why tag team superstars want that number 1 contender spot for all 3 titles.
