Love the low end court view. Love the pick and roll control and the use of a single button to call a double team on defense and the quick response to it. The look and sound of the game is great.

Would like to see better rebounding AI. Some guys just stare at the ball as it bounces next to them. Computer Defense AI is a little too sticky when using your Right stick to do moves. It hinders the animation of it too much. Fun basketball game with great controls. Looking forward to next year's improvements.

i think that they should put a superstar. on live i like that they had be a pro but u could star a career or soming. i was upset with that, but it was a good games.

I was totally surprised at how well this game turned out. It still isn't up to NBA 2k9 imo, but it made outstanding strides with the 09 version.

I am completely surprised by this game. I rented both NBA Live 09 and NBA 2K9 and played both. I have to honestly say that the gameplay and visuals of Live 09 grabbed me so quickly that I could not get into 2K9. I have always been a 2K fan when it came to basketball but Live 09 plays a more realistic game to me. The animations for ballhanding, defense and footplanting are realistically implemented and look very good. The halfcourt game is very good.The player models, skin and sweat are very realistic. The main thing is I feel like I have more control in Live than 2K.

OS Review hit a key jumpshot with this one. A great, fun game but still plagued with some issues. Drastic change from the previous forgettable releases.

Player models are ugly and unrealistic. I no longer like the artistic design of the player models anymore. They feel VERY NBA street Ish...

Other than that ADD about 200 moree needed animations in almost every gameplay department and you might have the newest fifa syled game engine for basketball
