I want this to be great, but I've become as jaded about the quality of the video games as I have about the television coverage of the sport. These guys are aware that NASCAR will at least be represented in GT5, right? They're going to have to bring their A-game. I like that they are talking about a February release date to coincide with the start of next season.

I think this is going to be a much needed fresh look to the franchise for some time. EA let their game stagnate.

Impressed by the screenshots of the tracks. they look really detailed.

It's been more than 2 years since we had a new NASCAR game and probably twice that long since we had a decent NASCAR game (for PS2 at least). Given the long wait for a new game coupled with a fresh start by a new developer and I can't help but be pumped for this game.
