Contact while driving more realistic
Defense is more challenging, you don't just stick to who you're defending, position is important
Only bad is that they took away crew mode, which was amazing hope to see it back in 2k13

It's always frustrating to see a franchise take a step back, though one should consider that living up to NBA 2K11's success in the next iteration was nigh impossible. For the most part, NBA 2K12 almost seems like a stripped down version of last year's model.

Online Association is a welcome addition, but it without some key options that leagues boasted just the year before.

On the fly subbing is frustrating and taken down a notch in functionality, regulated to face button presses that only go one direction through the depth charts. The most upsetting side effect of this is that you will shoot the ball accidentally while trying to substitute your Small Forward('X' button).

Overall, NBA 2K12 is still a game worth purchasing to hardcore fans.

It is so good that I honestly don't know if I will even need to buy 2k13. Then again, 2k doesn't seem to disappoint, so I'm sure 2k13 will have some improvements that will make it worth the money too. This is the most fun I've had with any sports game I have ever bought.
