Everything I could expect out of a hockey game, good physics, good scoring variety, good plays by goalies. etc.

Obviously it's never gonna be perfect but this game is just great! I love the gameplay this year, great overall improvement! Sports game of the year for sure! Still can't believe the review score isn't A LOT higher than Madden though!

More penalties need to be called, but man, this year the gameplay seems ALOT more realistic !

I'm addicted already !!!!!

Usually I play the demo for a while and get bored then the game comes out I play a certain mode for a while and get bored and in NHL 12 I liked playing against people who don't used glitches but I couldn't stand playing against the computer because it always used the fn glitches and my goalie would always allow the easiest saves to pass right by him. But I haven't been able to stop playing the demo and I just can't wait for the new GM mode! Obvious choice for sports game of the year!

This game is gonna be crazy good.

The true performance skating on the demo was real nice. Also the new AI IQ and the looser puck will hopefully make this the most realistic hockey game yet.

after trying the demo and seeing some new options added this will be a day one purchase for me.

I think that this game could be good borderline great. It almost feels like a completely different game than NHL 09-10.2. So far, the new skating engine has really impressed me and I haven't personally noticed any glaring flaws in the AI logic. But it would really put a damper on things if something like GM Connected didn't play well or had poor support or if the trade logic in offline GM is still poor. If these features do indeed end up being all they are cracked up to be, it could make for one hell of a game that sees countless hours in my house.

Looks like the series is ready to take a big jump after treading water the past few years.

Looks really promising.
