Will NHL 13 be the new NBA2K?

So guys last year i made this decision to take a step towards a sport that i never cared much for and hence i didnt know much about at all. still a video game which is nba2k12 got me more and more into basketball as sport and nba as a league. of course ill never become a die hard fan of a specific franchise but still i enjoy watching a basketball match from time to time nowadays. yes maybe thats a new way of creating fans and supporters.
this year hockey will be the sport that i want to, lets call it discover, in the same way. thus im really looking forward to purchase and play NHL 13. right now i have very limited knowledge about the sport. but this will change in the next few months!

Over the last couple of years, I have converted four or five of my friends into diehard NHL fans just by getting them to play EA's NHL video games with me.

It is definitely a game that's easy to pickup and enjoy, even if you don't know much about the sport of hockey. And I find that once people start playing the game more, it usually turns them into real hockey fans.

Let's just hope there is a hockey season for you to be a fan of this year. Great to see that a video game can make a sports fan out of people who otherwise probably wouldn't be (that's what happened to me with Fifa)

hehe that might very well happen to me, sports games usually have that effect on my. even in a sport that i already know well, playing a franchise mode with a certain team often turns me into a fan of that very franchise lol. how big do you think are the chances that well get a lock out?
