Scott is all basketball, no gimmick. Watching his segment this week felt like watching a segment on ESPN or NBA TV. No badges; no automatic anything. Boiled down, basketball is about geometry (see Jalen Rose podcasts) and creating numbers advantages. It is a simple game, but a thinking game. Scott reviewed some tools to go with that.
Listening to Scott really got me fired-up as MyLeague was loading. Everything he touched on I am familiar with, especially the number and percentages game at the heart of basketball. However, basketball success is frequently about returning to the fundamentals, and basketball-love says basketball fundamentals are not boring. To reject the fundamentals is a casual love: As a basketball-lifer, you cannot be casual or the game will quickly be boring.
Thank you 2K TV! Thank you, Scott! Please continue teaching the game so casual fans can become knowledgeable fans... and maybe basketball-lifers.
