GamerCentric has the scoop.
"Sports gaming has carved a nice niche for itself over the last decade and a half, and now it will receive its own magazine to address the demand as Time Warner Retail Sales/Marketing and All In Media unveiled the new Sports Gamer magazine earlier today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Naturally aiming to cover the world of sports video games first, the magazine will also feature player and celebrity interviews, with stars like Daunte Culpepper, Tiger Woods, Ray Lewis, and Lance Bass already planned to contribute to the early issues."

Great idea in principal, but execution is key. I don't see how they can keep articles "fresh" in the dog days of sports gaming from after baseball games are released till the football games arrive.

It'll probably be a hip, MTV-style magazine.
