Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 Preview (PS2)

GameSpy has posted their preview of Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007.
"The shooting system has been tweaked so that players can go for more snap shots than before. Also, players will now be able to get control of the ball when they slide in for a tackle, which I saw two gentlemen of unknown non-American origin do as they risked yellow card after yellow card in an aggressive match. There will also be new dribbling styles and backwards passes. Outside of the sliding tackles, though, the new changes didn't seem very evident. In fact, it pretty much played like Winning Eleven 9. Again, not that it's a bad thing. It's just that at this point in production, it's way too early to sense the polish and newness from the beginning."

Motor Storm Preview (PS3)

Eurogamer has posted their preview of Motor Storm.
"The race constantly evolves. Because of the changing surface types there's a real strategy involved...and you always have to look at what's ahead. Because of this real-time track deformation, we've had to invest heavily in the particle side and want it to get really messy." It certainly is one of the filthier games around, and not only is there plenty of crap being kicked up behind vehicles, the vehicles themselves quickly become covered in dirt, making them look practically unrecognisable within a lap or so. Factor in the general damage modelling and it's a game that gives instant visual cues as to the state of your ride."

World Pool Championship Hands On Preview (PS2)

GameSpot has posted their hands on preview of World Pool Championship.
"The mechanics of a pool game being the bottom line for success and failure, we were pleased to report that the controls in WPC were approachable, while still offering a lot of depth for the more advanced set. Lining up your cue was a simple matter of moving the right analog stick left or right, and fine tuning adjustments could be made by holding down the L2 button. To get a better view of the table, and your shot, you could also move the stick up and down to and the camera would respond accordingly. Handy indicators on screen indicated which way the ball would break when struck at that angle."

MotoGP '06 Hands On Preview (360)

PALGN has posted their hands on preview of MotoGP '06.
"Graphically itís rather clear that itís not quite finished yet. While it runs at 60fps itís not as stable as Iím sure it will be. AA and AF also seem to be lacking, so things are a little jaggy and the track looks a little bit messy as you look into the distance, but overall itís a big improvement on the last Xbox title. The soft, slightly dull look those games had have been replaced with crispness and stronger colours making Mugello look better than ever. Of course itís the bike and rider models that impress the most, packing more detail than ever before in terms of both actual detail and animation."
