NHL 07 vs NHL 2K7 Article (360)

FiringSquad has posted an NHL 07 vs NHL 2K7 article.
"I have before me the Xbox 360 versions of EA Sports’ NHL 07 and 2K Sports’ NHL 2K7. For years, I have preferred the Sega/2K product over what EA has offered. The last EA hockey game I played, NHL 2004, has a bad interface, ridiculous scoring (especially in sim mode, where even regular star players break Gretzky’s records), and poor AI. In NHL 2004, defensemen charge into the offensive zone inappropriately and far too often. The goalies are made of stone and cannot be affected by any physical play, and on top of that they are hopeless at stopping the puck. By comparison, the NHL 2K games were realistic, easy to manage, and simulated realistic results."

Get Your 2006 Version of Tecmo Super Bowl

ArmchairGM has the scoop.
"I'm not sure if this is news, opinion, or completely irrelevant to the site, but I thought I'd share it anyway, since a lot of people here are Tecmo freaks. The Tecmo Repository has posted a completely-updated 2006 version of TSB, with current rosters (I believe it even has Deion Branch on the Seahawks), uniforms, and logos. All you have to do to get it is register for an account at the Repository, activate it via e-mail link, and go to this link for download."

Wii Sports to Include Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling, and Boxing

Joystiq has the scoop.
"Wii Sports will be bundled free come November 19 when Wii launches for $250 stateside. That much we know. But how many mini-sports games will be included in the package title? While sources close to EGM (Oct issue, page 74) suggested that the game "is going to sport over 30 different games" and USA Today name dropped a basketball game (typo?), the official Wii Sports fact sheet only mentions tennis, baseball, golf, bowling, and boxing."

Question of the Day

What are your plans this weekend?

Well, the first thing I need to do is take my car to the shop, the A/C died in it. Thankfully, it hasn't been that hot around here. Other than that, just work around the house, NBA and NHL 2K7 w/ a little Madden and NFL 2K5 mixed in. Just waiting for the big showdown w/ the deadskins on Sunday night.

Selling NHL 07. It's no fun to score at will on the hardest level with sliders adjusted too.

Getting Lego Star Wars II.
